I'm from Collinsville Illinois and I watched Liddell all thru his high school career at Belleville West- he was always a shooter - hot, cold, or in between he just kept chucking the rock.

I think he was tired they played Minnesota, Purdue, and Michigan all really good teams all in three days

Blame the refs. Look at the box score genius, Ohio state had 26 fouls and Illinois had 23. So your theory is out the window. Don’t blame the refs after every lose, it’s easier to say Illinois played a good game.

Yeah it was hard to watch the beginning of the game. Ohio State got like 10 points on free throws. Bad calls both ways though agreed

I think if refs can't keep the game close, they will lose so many audiences in front of TV earlier in the game. They will not let that happen in a championship game.

I don’t think a #5 seed in the big ten tourney should get a #1 seed plus these selection committees don’t let conference tourneys affect their seeding much.

They never had the game they were down by 17 in the first half and it was back and forth in the second

I don't think I would describe it as they had this game cause momentum and control are two different things. Every time OSU had momentum and looked like would take control of the game and build a lead beyond 1-3 points, all it took was one good play for Illinois to take away that momentum and take control of the game. And that may have had to do with the fans being there. Even with the limited attendance, Illinois made up a good 60-75% of the crowd at the game making it practically a home game. This was an amazing game both ways, it was terribly called both ways (fire Boroski), and the team that played better came out on top. Both teams should make good deep runs in the tournament as well, and as Underwood said, it'll good to start rooting for fellow Big 10 teams rather than playing each other.
