24mm socket and #8 Allen for the pan bolt. The other Allen on filter bowl drain is #6

What about the two remaining gaskets in the plastic bag of the filter? I know that you re-used the metal one on the oil plug but where does the smaller, black o-ring go????? Thanks for making the video.

It goes on the tip of the oil filter, like the smaller one. The bigger O-Ring goes on the oil filter as well.

24mm . 6mm allan key for oil filter drain, 8mm Allen key for sump drain plug . New filter should include new seals for both drains and oil filter housing.

Simple and great video..why are you pulling filter first? Normally drain plug and filter right? Your expertise pls ...any advantage? Does the oring needed for e53?

@@2carpros thanks...however a small spring came off with the filter..it never happened before. Looks like it's part of anti bleed valve. any idea or comments about it pls? Is it a big deal?

Why was there no oil when you removed the filter

Because it mounts on the top and it tends to drain down with gravity. Thanks for watching!

@@2carpros i have the same car, it will pour or dump oil if you remove the filter cup/Bowl from under the car... without draining the cup/bowl. nothing about it mounts on top... it mounts under the car and the cup/bowl is full of oil. Unless you drained the filter bowl/cup off camera. This would explain why there was no oil when you remove your oil cup/bowl filter holder thingy, but you didn't show or mention you did this, and the small O ring seal in the new filter kit was never used. Also you removed filter cup/bowl before you drained the pan, So I ask again... why wasn't there oil in the filter cup/bowl when you removed it?

Good evening CarPros....what kind of socket is that that you are using to remove the oil filter and the oil plug....does it have a hex bit built into the socket?

Then drain plug is a metric allen. And the oil filter is a large socket that fits the canister to remove it.
