Just a quick video "Tutorial" on changing the oil & resetting the oil light on a Newer Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0t TSI MQB platform.

No problem! It’s even easier if you have a suction pump! Then you don’t even have to jack the vehicle up!

LoL.. I used to have one of those, 2018 purchased on 2017 first year/gen and my 30th anniversary GTI, and 2014 GLI keep up the content man

I added liqui Molly engine treatement and fuel injector cleaner after the oil change and it feels smooth again like new. 59k miles. Next are the spark plugs. If you are an owner make sure to buy the oil from the dealer and parts. And don’t wait until 10k miles change at 7k and your engine should last into the 200s

If you own your VW do not use this oil. A non 508 spec 0W-20 will void your warranty. And they do check receipts… ask me how I know 😢

I don't see any coolant in the expansion tank lol. I love my 22 Tiguan S. Those VW/Audi plastic drain plugs are actually easy to use. I bought the actual tool that cost 2 dollars and you don't need to use a flathead... I know VW uses the 508.00 spec oil now. You might void that warranty with using SuperTech from Wallyworld...

The coolant was a on the lower side. I ended up topping it off. Honestly I wasn’t even aware of the new drain plug until I did this oil change. I appreciate the feedback, but pretty hard to void the warranty when it’s just a lease. If it blows up, it blows up. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I use FCP euro for oil . You buy the kit twice for 70$ and after that it's basically free for lifetime warranty. I do my oil changes and return the old get my 70$ store credit for next time . Repeat the process . Only really purchased twice . I do it every 5-7k miles due to oil burm

@@rich13w you also pay for shipping but 20 dollars to return a 100$ kit . Is a deal in my book .I own a tiggy and a Audi . So I use it the store for both my cars . And just get my credit back when I return

@@BMSmouthers I'm accustomed to driving trucks that have metal drain pan plugs. I changed my wife's VW oil today for the first time (for me). I also learned that there is a nub on the rim of the plug that needs to go into a notch in the oil pan rim. My son, who changed the oil the last time, apparently didn't know this. My wife's car has been leaking for the last three weeks. I found that you can actually use a Phillips head...to a point. Something bigger, like a big straight blade screw driver must be used to make the plug "click" into place. I'm not criticizing your video, but you didn't mention it. I'm just offering perspective to fill in a gap.

Plastic flat head oil drain plug??? What a piece of trash car. That is one step away from just throwing away the car when it needs an oil change. What a joke.
