Great guide. One small addition I would add is to put your e brake on before putting the car on jack stands.

first oil change, drain plug was so torqued on there from getting my oil changed at drive in shops for years. Took me like 45 minutes to get it off, definitely getting that drain valve lol. Thank you for the tutorial!

Let me know where you got the jack stands. They appear to have rubber so car sits nicely. I need to buy some.

Do you prefill the filter or crack the engine before starting it up? Seen mixed reviews of either it’s needed or not

I was taught to fill the filter before installing but on this engine the filter sits upside down and I really dont think its necessary. Suppose to help keeping less air out of the system or starting it dry. Personally I dont think it matters. My suggestion though is to check the threads and inside the filter for burrs (shard of metal left over from production that wasn't removed all the way)

How much oil did you add? I hear 5.8 quarts is too much

I add the recommended amount, whatever that is, and then add just a little more. Top of what the dipstick allows basically

Hey Kevin I forgot to ask, what rims do you have? Also what tire/rim size would you recommend switching to? Cuz the stock wheel setup isnt that great, let me know what u think, thanks

I went with the widest tire setup I could, on summer tires. So my wheels are 18x9 Gramlight 57CR, and my tires are 265/35R18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. But the way the car handles will also be highly dependant on your suspension setup and damping.
