I absolutely love this. It makes me feel “peace” while looking at it. I am so glad that I just found your channel. I have been dabbling in acrylics for 3 yrs and just now started taking painting more seriously and learning oil paints, which I like so much more. I am surrounded by beautiful mountains and scenery here in Southwestern Virginia but it’s hard to make myself actually get out to photograph.🤦♀️

Give oil paintings a go to see how you feel about it. It's much slower to dry so you can really take your time to move through a painting and revisit it in multiple sessions! Have fun!

Love this piece. I've been following you for about a year. I find your work inspiring as I've started to teach myself to paint 7 years ago, and I've been in a funk myself, too. I look forward to your next video.

I've been experiencing an art block ever since I moved to the east coast. Learning how to find my way back to my art has been a struggle but I feel like I'm finally turning a corner! Hope you find little inspirations to jumpstart your creativity and get back into painting :)

Aw Thank you! I used to sketch my drawings out first before I painted but I found it to be redundant since I end up covering it all up! I also used to pre mix my colors ahead of time but now I just mix them as I go! 1. Layout Paints on palette 2. Outline sketch with paints 3. Block in major shadows 4. Add basic lights 5. Deepen darks and lighten highlights while adding midtones for contrast 6. Refine details 7. Final touches
