I really enjoyed the quiet scritching noise of the brush instead of a lame background score. Nice sense of depth in the painting and beautiful colors. And I liked the slow build up of colors in layers.

Oh my goodness this man is incredible. Just watch and pause until you get ready for the nice section. I have learned so much and my painting has dramaticly improved in the last month of watching him paint. Some of his videos are not fast. They are much longer though.

Ok so from what I can tell, a lot of the audience are on the older side. This is a SPEEDPAINT video. It's supposed to be fast and he's not supposed to talk. If you want things to be explained to you find a tutorial. Videos like these are usually for entertainment purposes but whether you learn from it or not is up to you

He does not paint wet on wet to have bright colors like this he lets paint dry otherwise it will be muddy colors with orange and blue

If you noticed at some parts of the clouds he had green result and he added a bit of red and changed the color. Confusing but interesting. I guess we will never know until try it.

For me, I was hoping to see your technique for painting your beautiful clouds, such a shame you decided to edit out quite a lot just as they were beginning to be shaped. Do you have that section to show in real time? If so it would help my learning experience. Thanks in advance.

The clouds are easy once the background is in and rather dry. Just determine where the light source is coming from and paint those areas white and fluffy.

This is awesome! I think I'm going to watch all of them and learn a lot. Are you using any medium? Those clouds turned out so rich and vibrant. It looks like you are using one brush to apply paint and another to whisk over it and blend everything out as far as you want it to be.

Thank you. When working with oil paints, I use only oil-based paints, and any refined vegetable oil (sunflower or flax). I do not use varnishes and diluents. To tell the truth now wait longer until the layers of paint dry.

I think it's so fast that you really aren't able to even tell what he is doing, so personally I didn't get to much out of it, seemed to me he kept changing his mind on what he was doing. He changed the sky about 10 times.

David Forman _Linseed oil shouldn't be a problem even if it's yellow in colour_ _you can take a small amount of linseed oil and mix with all the colours_ _Linseed oil doesn't affects the colour of the paint ^~^_

It is best to use Liquin or Gamsol. Mixed with the paint, they help it dry. You can also find a siccative (drying) medium. I like LeFranc Bourgoise but it is hard to find in the U.S. They have a duroziez siccative medium that dries fairly fast and is glossy. No too many people use linseed anymore because it yellows over time and there are better mediums out there that are mixed with linseed. Also, I suggest odorless paint thinner like Weber or Chelsea citrus brush cleaner. These work well for your first layer of painting. Use these lean products before you add a fat medium like linseed oil to your paint. Follow the fat over lean method. It is easier with Liquin or Gamsol. You can do this!
