Did you let the base layer dry before adding the details?? Also beautiful owl

Hi there, yes 😊 as I used liquin for my base layer, it was dry by the next day

I am 75 years old , and still way behind in the use of the internet I learned like RUSSIAN CHILDREN still TODAY to know the Anatomy, from 1st grade on up , while USA is still doing Blow Painting, I could not understand WHY art Critics think wildlife nothing more than just COPING, Don't you go to the Zoo, or museum this is how I learned. The Museum has file box drawers of birds to look at, see the feathering. Their display cases you can bring your ow set up lighting to capture the light COULD you if given 2 -3 days on your own to do this using such reference from scratch, no TRACING, could you do it. ?
