This song is monumental for me. My dad showed me this music video when I was 12, and I absolutely fell in love. The words speak to my heart, and I’ve always been able to rely on the beauty and youthfulness of this song to lift my spirits in my darkest of days. After all these years and now being 23, I tattooed the lyrics “let it go, this too shall pass” on my wrist so that I can always be reminded of that wisdom and encouragement. A tattoo I know I’ll never regret. OK Go, you’ve truly influenced my life so positively. Thank you❤️

The dominos? Soo, not the piano dropping and breaking, or the broken television or the water system or the bucket pyramid or the paper planes or the marble system or the balloons or like y'know, every other part of the video? The dominos were practically the easiest part to set up
@extrahourinthepit
@extrahourinthepit 7 жыл бұрын
Black science guy you saw at the mall today Well,yes,the piano is expensive and stuff,but if you have to reset the TV you just stack it away and get a "new" one. Whereas with the dominos,you have to take every single one,and delicately put it back on top of say an LP,and if it falls over you've got to start again. Also,the dominos had to be set up again on EVERY take.

It's interesting going back and watching this again because you can tell that OK Go has gotten a lot better at not reacting to crazy stuff happening around them. There were a lot of parts in the second half where the members couldn't help looking to the side instead of at the camera and a couple times where it's obvious they just barely made it to their places in time. Of course, this doesn't diminish the impressiveness of this video in the slightest. They are just as creative and good at playing music as they are now. It's just now they're used to doing crazy music videos and have a much better budget.

Four examples of energy transfers for anyone that needs it: When the dominos fell, it transferred kinetic energy from one domino to the next. When the lights turned on, energy transferred from PE to electrical. When the umbrellas fell, energy transferred from gravitational potential to kinetic. When the car started rolled back, the car transferred from mechanical potential to mechanical kinetic.

God. I remember when this was released. I watched this video so many times. It was so impressive. This reminds me that nothing is permanent. I haven't heard this in years, but the name stuck with me as an adage, a little nugget of wisdom to take with me. I repeated it as a mantra. This too, shall pass. Crazy that it was this song that gave me that little bit of strength for dark times.

Sooo, this virus will never be extinct, it will mutate out of vaccines reach ever so often, and vaccines are generally too expencive for alarmingly many. All countries will do what it takes so not more than a set percentage of important workforce are infected at once, just like now. The ways they keep this under control will change as time goes on, most likely eased up but never back to normal. So no, this pandemic will not pass.

That implies you are now something else. Are you a lost soul looking for one single actual friend that won't turn their back on you 2 weeks after they have befriended you, a friend that will understand your pain and suffering from being bullied at summer camp, getting really tired of the bullies and them not getting in trouble, trying to kill yourself by wrapping your shoelace around your neck, and hearing one of the camp supervisors say, "He definitely did it for attention," a friend who will actually listen to why you tried to sand down a stick with a brick to make the stick sharp enough to stab yourself in the chest with, and a friend who won't run away from you at recess and beat you up after school because you don't play Fortnite, even though your parents won't let you?
