Tbh (G)Idle is unquestionable one of the most hard working groups in Kpop. I mean.. they're in their 6th year and still running on a rookie schedule. I remember that last year they did a reality show in the preparations for the release of their album 'I Feel', where they list all their yearly activities and it's crazy. Sometimes It is even worrying it, like we've seen the girls getting sick multiple times in the last months due to overworking. On top of that, Yuqi has already said their schedule for this year is packed and I'm here just to enjoy every second of it! (As long as the girls are happy and healthy).

fun story: Cube wanted to give the girls a debut song and concept that Soyeon and the others thought wouldn't suit them, they wouldn't be famous with those songs. Soyeon thought she had to do something to make their debut a success, so she wrote a song herself, and then a whole album to go along with it. The name (G)I-DLE was also Soyeon's idea, and she was the one who begged the company to let Miyeon, Minnie and Soojin debut with her as a group. Everything was organized by Soyeon since the company didn't care enough about them at all. Soyeon is responsible for all existing concepts, albums and everything since their debut. And from 2021, in addition to Soyeon, Minnie and Yuqi also started writing and producing songs, so all three of them are creating their songs now. The three of them are the producer line. ☺️

If it would be for Cube Gidle would have failed because of their famous negligence (example: any other groups that are under cube) but because of the blessing of Gidle having someone like Soyeon it did not happen. EVERY SINGLE MEMBER is important but! The Soyeon's balls to take the entire responsability for the group (starting off by making the debut song) is why they are what they are and it is the reason why other members got the confidence and oportunities to also become producers and songwriters... and still people keep blaming and shading on Soyeon!! This video is rlly rlly great and well made, like I rlly dont wanna know how much work that must have been. It is kinda sad that this is a bit outdated cause it only goes till Hwaa era, but u still can see what great achievements they already had back then. But after all that, there was so much stuff that happend like Soojins departure from the group, to their first comeback as 5 Tomboy, them getting their first PAK (perfect all kill), their first world tour etc.

I cannot believe we failed you and didn't let you know Soyeon is THAT girl when it comes to rap. She has been named the Empress Of K-Pop by Rolling Stone Korea for her talent. She's actually done two other raps that are quite similar in difficulty to her Queendom intro rap. Those two raps are her rap in Bad B Number and Psycho (which are both from her solo album Windy). I'd love to see a reaction to Queendom performances. They really solidified the monster rookie title more than I think any other 4th gen group to this day has. I love these girls so much. I'm excited for you to keep learning more about them and also their dynamic when Soojin was with them because she was so important to the group. The anger they came back with in I Never Die was so justified because Cube did not protect her. But now she's back as a soloist so it's such a good time to become and IDLE fan since you can jump right into her stuff!

Good luck trying to keep up with IDLE; they revealed in December that they had nearly a thousand commitments in 2023. They indeed work very hard, perhaps even too much for their health.

I have been w them since debut and let me tell u how insane it is to actually see their career journey from ups and down. I am beyond proud!!! Supporting them is worth it and my love for SY and her passion to music is one of the best thing in my kpop journey.

I was one or two reactions away from suggesting you react to this! 😅 This documentary was a gigantic collaboration project between an international group of neverlands (nevies), work on it starting around December 2020, but its planned release coincided with the controversy surrounding Soojin intensifying so it was put on hold until the drama wasn't such a fresh wound. As I only played a minor role as a translator, I'm more-or-less in the same boat as everyone else wondering and appreciating just how much time and effort was put into this project. Fun fact: the documentary has subtitles in 19 languages, in an effort to have as many people as possible learn the (g)i-rls' path to greatness ❤💜 Hope you weren't overwhelmed by what you learned from the documentary, because here's a tiny bit more: - Within the first month of I BURN's release (from Jan 11 to Feb 11), the album sold ~160K copies. - While ~160K is a lot, it was juuuust below the best-selling album under Cube Entertainment - Fiction and Fact by B2ST. - Sales tend to die down after the first month... but (G)I-DLE are not a group that follows the same ruleset as the rest of us. By the end of the album's second month (Mar 11), I BURN had sold an additional ~40K, bringing the total sales to 202K. 2 days later, the album sold 9032 units in a single day. (G)I-DLE were already the breadwinners of Cube Entertainment... but as of March 11th 2021, they also officially became the group behind the label's best-selling album. With HWAA scoring a total of 10 music show wins, as well as achieving a "triple crown" on MCountdown by winning for 3 consecutive weeks, the song was not only the group's most successful song at the time (their previous record was 6 wins with DUMDi DUMDi), it also made Soyeon the first female K-pop artist to write and produce a song that won a triple crown and the 10th K-pop artist overall. In 2021 Soyeon had the 3 fastest raps of any female Korean artist - 2 were on her solo album "Windy". Since then she has been overtaken as fastest, but I personally feel like in 2021 she proved that she is the top rapper and now has become very passionate about production. While she still thinks of herself as a rapper, if you watch her interview with Rain, her passion for producing is really evident. One of the things that is misleading in this MV and one thing I have seen repeated by a lot of fans is the suggestion that Cube didn't give them any songs before debut. I think it was on Knowing Bros in 2023 that Soyeon confirmed that when she listened to the songs they were given by Cube, she felt that if they debuted with it they would be done for as a group. On Leemujin Service 99 this year, she explained that they recorded several songs they were given before debut, but they felt that they were songs that they had to make themselves fit into and that they were written by people who didn't know them, so with the other members backing she wrote their debut songs.

Thank you for letting more people knowing this kpop legendary female group. They definitely need a documentary or movie showing how they overcome such obstacles and stress (including member left) and getting better and better even though they had debuted about 6 years!! Lots of groups start with a bang but get forgotten about later because of a newer group or they lose track of their signature sound. (and also if you look at the animated girl in the mv , she looks a lot like her and also has a mole under her eye) so in short, just feel free to express love for her personlity and talent freely , she truly deserves it

As a fan of (G)I-Dle since debut, I'm so proud of their accomplishments in their journey. I never had much of a "Bias" until Soojin took that spot when "Help Me" released. From then until now, she's still my ult bias 😍 I've been with them through their journey, Queendom, new releases, losing Soojin, their Comeback as 5, all of it. As sad as I was seeing Soojin leave, I'm still proud that they came back harder and stronger.
