Someone told me Ganyu’s bloom counts as “air time” for the passive, which is around 0.3 seconds. That being said, most non-point-blank shots should have most of the buff.

Also, the distance buff is more for the bloom damage, bc the time it takes to fly to the enemy is not the only time that is counted, also the time it takes to hit the enemy once and the bloom to activate

Hey Moga! So with Amos Ganyu you pretty much always have the full buff active because it also takes into account the time for the bloom part of the charged shot to hit the enemy. Considering the delay between the initial CA and the Bloom CA, you pretty much always get the full buff on Bloom which is what matters most.

I know I'm gonna sound annoying, but please in frezze teams use Mona or Kokomi. They are made for those kinds of teams, especialy when it comes with Ganyu.

The second hit on ganyu charge attack counts for the passive of the Amos, so ganyu always has max stacks in her second hit.

I suppose someone else has already said this, but just in case, the delay between the initial hit and the bloom damage counts for ganyu, so you always have at least some of the passive when it comes to the bloom damage, regardless of distance. I believe it's always at least 3 of 5 stacks

I was screaming WHY as you did the showcase with Yelan in that team when in fact she was *useless* since her ult only works on Normal attacks plus you missed the pyro resonance.

Use Mona with ganyu, it’s a lot easier to freeze the enemies

8:42 mona is really good for freeze ganyu!! the most typical freeze ganyu team is ofc ganyu, mona and venti + zhongli/diona, but if you want to showcase her and use BS i think instead of yelan, mona is far better (with her ult and constant hydro application by her e)

Hey moga, just letting you know. Freezee ganyu, there are some good characters for it, Mona or Kokomi. Kokomi's range is pretty large, and mona's burst and skill are consistantly applying cryo

It's a great bow, now you can use it for Ganyu and God mode Amber! Especially since it wasn't raised when you tried Raising Amber. Looking forward for more content.

moga, if you struggle with freezing enemies with Ganyu you can use Mona/Komi instead of Yelan

this is actually a good bow for amber also I noticed in your last team you was struggling with a team so here's a tip for god mode amber use sucrose Diona and rosaria use Dion e then burst and sucrose E's then rosaria burst amber burst and then amber E just for a little help.

btw you’re not supposed to use units like yelan and xingqiu for freeze ganyu, you should be using mona or kokomi

the bloom from ganyu while using amos bow does get the buff as that counts as the charged atk. So, the bloom will have the 40% buff + 12% buff from the passive more often

Freeze ganyu usually uses kokomi or mona with their skill it’s much more convenient to freeze that way

As a Ganyu main I can recommend using Ganyu, Kazuha, Shenhe, Kokomi over the current team (but current ones works too) Since Moga has all characters I recommend this team because of the characters buffing her more and giving her an easier way to freeze enemies.

I see that you have a bit of trouble with a freeze comp, Im a Ganyu main, and the freeze team that i run with her is: Rosaria, Kokomi and Sucrose, is actually a very good team and ease to set :) (Rosaria E+Sucrose E+Kokomi E+Sucrose Q+Rosaria Q and atack with Ganyu)

tip on her stats : You could potentially get more damage out if her if you sacrificed some of that crit damage for attack %. Mine has 2500 attack and only 170 crit damage and she does about the same as yours. So I imagine if you could balance those 2 stats a bit more you could hit some really big numbers.

if you wanna go to the unmarked island you can just use the fan thingy and fly off starsnatch cliff and you can make it with maybe one stamina food. there’s like 2 or 3 ruin guards out there but also if you want crabs grab sayu and head out there and there’s like at least 10 if not more. it’s probably the best place to grab a bunch of crabs. spawn beach and a couple places in inazuma are ok also but unmarked island is the best one imo. i just like making the golden crab for domain runs but if you want crabs the unmarked island is honestly best

Freeze Ganyu with Xingqiu/Yelan is actually really suboptimal for her lol I've found it more fun with someone like Kokomi, especially if shes running ToM for the extra attack buff, or mona Plus the 100% uptime on Kokomi's jellyfish makes it really easy to keep things frozen the best team I'd think for a freeze ganyu, or at least what I use is Kazuha, Kokomi, Shenhe, and Ganyu rather than trying to force bennet and zhongli in there they're better supports with melt ganyu, and bennet really doesn't help as much when you're using a bow like amos bos because of the diminishing attack returns

To go to the secret island u don't need to ice bridge u can go to the starsnatch cliff and glide u might need stamina food though.

I think that you should start using wander troup for ganyu since that set increase charges shot 35% and has 80 em at 2p set which is good for melt ganyu,also that you don't need to swap your artifacts for ganyu and mess up lol

I think using kokomi ganyu kazuha shenhe is the BEST team for freeze ganyu/ayaka. Easy freezes with Kokomis persistent hydro application with her jelly fish, and ur still buffing her significantly with shenhe and kazuha. Def should try this team !!!

The time lag between the impact of the arrow hitting, and the follow up bloom, also counts toward Amos’ buff, so you still get 3-4 stacks on the bloom (the bigger part) even if you hug your opponent

Her bloom always get the Amos' passive bonus because it hits after 0.3s

You can use Ganyu's E to prevent enemy coming toward you. Also when people are building freeze Ganyu with Mona or Kokomi, their Atk% bound to be not enough (around 1500-1800) because everyone focusing of CDMG and not noticing they are lacking Atk%. Amos is really good because it has decent Base Atk and really igh Atk% bonuses.

You said that you had problems with ayaka and ganyu that they kinda share artifacts well a tip i wanna give you is that you give your blizzard set to ayaka and since you got amos bow you should do wanders ganyu amos and wanders makes so much more damage for ganyu and if u use the strongbox to get some op artifacts thats amazing and when you do build wanders ganyu use this team (kazuha, shenhe, bennett and ganyu ofc) that will make her charged attack do so much damage :))

Hey @Moga the time between the first hit of the chraged attack and the second also counts as flying time so you'll need to add the two of them to know the real buff to the frostflake bloom dmg

30% crit rate is really enough on wanderer, shimenawa or blizzard strayer because she has the 20% crit rate buff passive on her bloom IF your playstyle is doing charged attack more often than burst and skill. On blizzard strayer, 30% crit rate on stat + 20% ganyu passive + 15% cryo res + 20% 4pc blizzard strayer cryo application + 20% 4pc blizzard strayer freeze reaction = a total of 105% crit rate!!

Hi moga, ganyu main here, if u want a big number dmg is is really possible so watch this rotation closely: zhongli shield, ganyu E, (elemental mastery) kazuha E (for cryo shred and buff) bennett q (for melting cryo away and buff), kazuha burst (for constant pyro applications, you need to stand in bennett ring tho) then swap to ganyu. And enjoy your probable 150k bloom hit :)

freeze ganyu only works with a crowd control and aoe hydro applicator (mona and kokomi, kokomis E has no ICD however so shes better in most scenrios, plus she is able to buff with ToM and Ttods and is more comfortable with her huge healing, but mona gives more dmg) because of how an enemy can still move away from ganyus charged attack while shes charging plus doing an NA to trigger yelan and xingqiu takes extra time and it can possibly make ganyus CA not hit, this is why kokomi is considered meta, and also why morgana (ganyu, diona, venti, mona, it can also be ganyu, a cyro sub dps or buffer like shenhe or rosa, kazuha/sucrose/venti, and mona or kokomi) is super strong, its because of how the freezing works

i think yelan's passive was messing with your dmg numbers. a good support for freeze ganyu is kokomi, she can just passively apply hydro off field without you having to normal attack like with yelan/xingqiu. so using kokomi would be a more consistent way of testing the weapon. very fun video regardless, i loved the ruin guard montage xD

btw, if u want to run a good freeze ganyu, you can use: kokomi(instead of zhongli so u dont die), venti(to suck the enemies in), mona (for burst buff), and last, of course, ganyu!

Hey Moga, just to let you know, you can glide down from the cliff to the hidden island. You can use venti plus kazuha or just amber. Youll be able to reach it fast that way

You can fly all the way to the island at max stamina and the flight gear that gives extra speed and plunge down when almost out of stamina to regain some and swim to the island

Just to note: You almost always have full buff with the amos bow because the bloom arrows have it time added to the main arrow, giving them almost full buff

You can get to that island off of monstadt shore with Xiao. You just need to glide from one of the cliffs. Kaeya ice bridge longer, even with 4 Kaeyas.

My suggestion for a freeze ganyu would be the normal Morgana comp or this one that I use where it’s ganyu kazuha hydro (kokomi ayato or Mona) and another cryo

The distance the arrow flies doesn't matter that much, the time is more for the bloom buff, not the initial hit which it's usually always at max buff.

The passive is mostly for the bloom, its easy to utilize as it starts the count the moment you fire it

Amos bow is insane for melt ganyu because it having the passive it does+ATK% substat allows you to run an EM sands. Oh and btw, not a lot of people know this, but you always get at least 3 stacks of amos passive for some reason (or so I heared at least from quite a few people).
