HOG HOG stands for hangovergang. Hangover gang initially is what Tom called his close circle of friends that he would go out and party with. He said the the term stood for having the best time of your life. Over time when he started music he gave that name to his Fanbase. And of course he was drinking and on drugs at that time however, as he became sober, the term “hangovergang” still means having the best time of your life, but without drugs or alcohol!

Tom MacDonald is 100% independent! He’s had major record labels after him daily for at least 6 years and he turns them ALL down! After you listen to a few of his songs, especially the music industry and sad rappers, you’ll understand why. He writes all of his songs, makes his beats, and his girlfriend Nova Rockafeller shoots and edits all of his videos! That’s why dear rappers is so simplistic because they were just starting out really. He dabbled in bands and had managers in the past, but that’s why he struggled so much and that’s why he wasn’t as successful as he should’ve been until he wrote dear rappers. He builds the sets for all of his videos! Also, he used to be a carpenter as well as a professional wrestler in Canada, he’s from Mission British Columbia. He spent some time in college but that just wasn’t where his life was going. I just started this video. Had to jump in here right quick and just say some things. First time seeing your channel. So no idea about your previous reaction that brought a ton of negativity your way or what song it was either. I will check it out. But I must say i loved you talking your shit in the intro. Assuming you're referring to Black & White, I agree the song isn't what it should be. You can see one reason why in the reaction that Tom and Dax did to the song on Nova Rockefeller's channel - it turns out they didn't coordinate their collab at all and when they brought their verses together they didn't go together at all and weren't of the right length. Tom said they had already finished the rest of the album by then and so rather starting over they modified what they already had to be the same length and went with it. He said instead of writing the verses they were thinking of doing for Black & White they kept the ideas and put them in new songs instead.
