Hello! I have a question - I am using a forever laser dark no cut low temp transfer paper so I am wondering which media type should I use? Ultra Heavy 1, Ultra Heavy 3 or Films? Also I am printing my designs from Corel X7 (vectorized image) so I was wondering should I use Graphics option for my ICM Intent? Thank you in advance for your questions, your videos are extremely helpful!

+Tatjana Civcic ............If your FOREVER Low-Temp Laser Dark has a "film sheet" for the imaging sheet, then set the Media Type in your OKI C711wt to "Films" in order to run the film. As far as the ICM intent, we recommend setting it to either "disable" or "managed by printer".

Hi , I have Oki 920wt, i got it yesterday. I bought it mostly because of your videos... Anyway, my question is....Do i need to adjust coreldraw color profile or the default settings will handle the colors? I am using Neenah image laser dark paper, but i am getting very light colors and not very accurate. My correl is set with sawgrass sublimation profile, because i do sublimation as well..., do you think this should be the issue in my case, or the color profile is not important because the printer handles the colors anyway? Can you suggest settings for coredraw to print with Oki 920wt? Thanks in advance, Angel

Do not use the Sawgrass color profile with your OKI C920wt. In the driver for the OKI C920wt, set the Image Color Management (ICM) to "Handled by Printer" and the OKI will color manage the output.

Hi tell me by applying these changes does this mean I do not have to change the colour management settings in corel draw? as when I print from corel my colours are all wrong. Eg. red prints pink, black prints green etc. Should I work by exporting my file as a jpeg and then print or can I print straight from corel draw? Please help!!!

+Brynmor Marais ...................We suggest that you either "disable color management" or set the ICM method in the driver to "Handled by Printer". The main reason is that Corel Draw (and every other graphic software) were all written under the same assumption, that you are printing to a standard CMYK printer. Since the OKI White Toner printers are CMY+W, allow the printer to manage colors or completely disable the feature.

if I'm using FOREVER DARK NO CUT paper, should i follow the same driver settings? When I print white color, gray spots occurs on paper which do not print properly on garments.

Hi followed all instructions as per video from Coreldraw printing pref but still no white layer being printed. Where in my PC can I adjust settings in Oki driver? Thanks in advance

(1) Open the OKI C711wt Driver. (2) Click on the "Color" Tab. (3) Make sure under "Print Mode" that you have "White On" selected. If white is on, then your OKI will print with 4 process colors. With white OFF, only the Cyan, Magenta and Yellow colors are used to generate the print.

Hi me again, what are the postscript settings for A4XL please. Thanks.
@condesystems
@condesystems 9 жыл бұрын
Skynepsis As far as the paper size, you can set to A4 or use the "PostScript Custom Page Size" to set the dimensions of your sheet. However, you will need the grams per square meter (GSM) weight of the paper to set the Media Type properly.

Hi, I recently purchased the rip software from one of your suppliers in the UK, when I installed it and tested it there was no grid on the images but now there is and I cannot get rid of it, am I registering the software correctly? I heard this was a demo problem but this is no demo. thanks.

Skynepsis Report this problem to Mr. David Lewis at LUCID DREAM (david@luciddream.com). He is the best authority on the FOREVER Transfer RIP program, and should be able to tell you how to remove the grid / watermark.

Thank you I think it is sorted now, I didn't realize the fob had to be present when loading the app. While I am here can you advise me on how to get better blacks on the OKI 711 WT. Many thanks.
@condesystems
@condesystems 9 жыл бұрын
Skynepsis My advice for the "best black" would be to use an RGB Black, not CMYK or Pantone. Understand that the OKI C711wt will never be able to produce a "true black", but an RGB process black is "close enough" for most applications.

Thank you. I promise I wont bother you all the time but I am presently doing a lot of testing, I have not purchased any laser specific mugs yet but have tested on glass and found that the image always scratches off and also the image is left with what looks like a glue coating on the image, I am obviously doing something wrong? I just purchased a best sub mug press that does 2 mugs at a time, I am using the forever transfer paper for mugs, after the image has been printed is the mug press ok to use for sealing the image or do I need a seperate oven? I am sure you are familiar with the problems that I am having, I will try to keep my questions to a minimum. Thanks.

Skynepsis Most "Hard Surface" transfer papers for substrates are rated for "decorative products", not durable products. Since the image is being applied to the surface of your substrate with a coating from the paper, that coating can be rubbed or scratched off. Therefore, you should only use a transfer paper on a substrate that is not meant to be handled or used. If you use hard surface transfer papers for mugs, you will have a "hand-wash" mug, not a dishwasher safe mug. Excess coating on your substrate can be removed with acetone. In fact, acetone will "clean" the image applied with a hard surface paper off your substrate.

Actually really bad advice on the remove media check option. It fried our fuser.
@condesystems
@condesystems 9 жыл бұрын
The "media check" feature prompts the OKI Printer to give a "Type Mismatch" error if the paper feeding through the printer is heavier than the factory default programmed. Simply put, it should allow you to print without having to clear the "Type Mismatch" error from the OKI printer. This said, you should always check to make sure you selected the proper media weight for the paper you are feeding and make sure the weight of your media is within the printing parameters of the OKI unit. For more information on this feature, you can contact OKI direct at 1-800-OKI-DATA (1-800-654-3282).
