Welcome back, today's video is a continuation of my 2019-20 NBA season preview series, this one covering the Oklahoma City Thunder. After another first round exit from the playoffs last year (their third in a row) it seemed as though the Thunder were content to run it back again this year. However, things changed overnight for the franchise, and Paul George's sudden trade request to the Clippers was granted, with Russell Westbrook being shipped out soon after as well. The Thunder now find themselves in a rather enviable rebuilding position, with a massive amount of future draft capital along with assets such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danillo Gallinari, and Chris Paul... though that is unlikely to help them reach the playoffs this season.

I’m a Thunder fan and I appreciate this video, but you made one giant error. Hamidou Diablo is 6’5 198lbs, he’s not a 4 and he definitely won’t play the 5😂

As a Thunder fan this was a really fun season for us. Made me appreciate CP3 more than I already did, just a really fun team to watch, nobody really thought we’d make the playoffs and we win 44 games and took Houston to 7.

Hey dude, couple of tips for lighting. You're right to flood a green screen with light, but you should do that from the sides and over the subject so you don't shine. A backlight would remove that green glow from your skin, this is also called a rim light because of the slight glow that separates the subject from the background. You'd be surprised how much of a different a backlight makes, it's great for separating something from the background. Right now it looks like you're lighting yourself from underneath at a harsh angle which is why you have those shadows on the top of your shoulders forearms, and shirt creases; it is also why the light on your face changes drastically when you move slightly.

CP3 has been a great mentor throughout his career. He mentored Darren Collison (twice) he was almost out of the league before his stint with LA and became CP3 lite. And he mentored Eric Bledsoe and Austin Rivers.

Playing Diallo at the 4, especially the 5, would be a very, very bold call. He’s most likely gonna be primarily at the 2 and occasionally the 3. That’d definitely be small ball.

Chris Paul is only in OKC because the franchise wanted to send Russ where he wanted to be. Some team will trade for him early in the season. He’s still a top 10 point guard.

Honestly if this team could somehow deal Schroder and get another scoring wing player they could probably be a 7-8 seed. With Paul and SGA you have as good a backcourt as there is out there and Adams could easily average 20/12 this season with Paul consistently feeding him all game. Gallinari is a 20/8 guy and while they have a big weakness at small forward between Ferguson, Diallo and Burton they could get enough of a punch to be decent. It'll be interesting.

I care more about TOTAL 3-POINTERS MADE & hate when the media mentions 3-point percentage only, VERY LAZY !!! 😞😞😞 If a player is a LOW VOLUME SHOOTER, he is attempting less 3-pointers than average NBA Players so the stat is misleading as heck.

@@DawiThumbnails Total 3-pointers made represents real points on the scoreboard. 😀😀😀 Tells you the REAL SHOOTERS FROM THE FAKE SHOOTERS. 50% for 3-pointers is just a pretty looking percentage = don't mean JACK if you had only 50 attempts & made 25---3-pointers for the entire season, LOW VOLUME SHOOTING.

I mean diallo could probably play a pj Tucker type role in a really small lineup but I wouldn’t play him there without Adams on the floor. He definitely can’t play the 5

I've heard you use the term NBA flier in regards to contracts. What is a "flier"?

It's when a player isn't a sure thing but tries to net a contract. Maybe he showed flashes of greatness, potential, or improvement. When a team gives that player a chance, they're taking a flier on em. Basically saying ".... well, ok..... let's see what you got". Buying what that player is selling, while the product is iffy... but intriguing

It really feels like you're thinking the Diallo that won the dunk contest is Chiek Diallo. The forward center out of Kansas. I know you'll correct it next vid.... but dam lol. He said Diallo has size and length to play 4 and 5..... idk maybe you just thought he was taller....... idk man

Andre Roberson got that huge contract for being a 1-Way Player. 😞😞😞 Bad choice in Free Agency by OKC at the time. Find a 2-Way Player. If you going with a 1-Way Player, let it be a 3-point specialist.

@@deandrepage1048 his defense is amazing and he is a good cutter offensively. He has shown that he's been working on his shot. His impact defensively will have a greater impact than any 3pt shooter that they could've signed. The Thunder aren't competing anyway so might as well try and keep the young talent that they alredy have.

ESPN churns out narratives, then fans act like sheep and blindly follow those narratives. 😀😀😀 It can be a good thing having Chris Paul actually shine in Oklahoma City, that doesn't mean SGA can't shine too as a tandem guard backcourt. SGA has the size to play combo-guard.

If Shai Gilgeous-Alexander can't benefit from playing in the same backcourt with Chris Paul, he is a fool. This kid is in his 2nd season, there are no reasons for debate. Chris Paul has issues with STARS & Gilgeous-Alexander is not a star.
