ForLife ForMe yes but i think the point is that she has enough power and ability to get it around , usually gymnasts dont have enough time to get the flips around and land on their backs or sometimes their head or necks

Its not only that she over-rotated her Produnova... Check out her in air form!! Produnova herself couldn't perform this vault WITHOUT major cowboying her flips.. If you watch the video that gets shown the most for Produnova doing this vault you'll see what I mean... The fact that Oksana has literally bucked the supposed rule that only younger gymnasts can do crazy hard gymnastics! She is proof that you can get better with age; and I'm so here for that!!! Man had she landed that vault she could have really contended for the gold! I think she is the reason why other gymnasts are still in the game.. Back Simone could have walked away after Rio...now she's even better than she was in Rio... Which is nuts but I love seeing WOMEN competing in WOMEN'S gymnastics rather then little girls or teens... I hope this remains the trend in years to come! But I am so rooting for Oksana to WIN a medal in Tokyo! That would be so amazing!!

@@nandacarpada It is not actually a advantage. All forward tumblings/dismounts/etc. (also arabians, 0.5/1.5 twisting tumblings and other) has blind landing (when you don't see the ground and the landing itself) so it is easy to overrotate it if you haven't mastered it

She won a medal at 32 tho. And she also won many competitions to get to the Olympics level.

She is more fit than most 20-30 year olds. The dedication is amazing

I'm not quite sure why people want to make a big deal about her age. Basketballer Andrew Gaze competed in his fifth Olympics at age 41 (his nickname was "The Silver Fox" because of his grey hair) while archer Butch Johnson competed in his sixth Olympics at age 57 but nobody is saying that they should retire. Tbh I think it's because she's female and in a glamorous "pretty" sport, and the unspoken implication is that only teenage girls should be competing, despite the fact that Oksana could wipe the floor with most of them (I mean, 2 Olympic medals, six world titles and she can perform a Produnova, FFS!) Go figure?

well,every sport has struggles and injuries ect ect. but artistic gymnastic... my goodness,it s really hard be a this level with her age. I think,she has something on her that gives her the power.Like the philosophy of Bruce Lee or stuff like that :D it s really hard..
