Many might simply see this for what it appears to be: George getting his hair cut. I see a father loving his son, serving him with his talents. As a father myself, this does me so. SO much good. Sincerely, thank you for posting this. And indeed, nice haircut, sir! Shout out from Kansas City!

Love the drop in photos. Fred, who was a famous pipe smoker (buried in his smoking jacket), did maintain the style you mentioned but he did it with a rug. Lost his hair when he was very young. The famous line from his studio audition in the 30's went "Can't act. Can't sing. Slightly bald. Can dance a little.

I just stumbled upon this video. I’ve been a licensed Barber since 18 years of age. I’m now 45. I was blessed to work in a 5 chair Barber Shop for over a decade with some of the best old school Barbers I’ve ever seen. Sadly, almost all of them have passed on. I was trained exactly the way your father is cutting your hair. Clipper over comb and shears. My boss didn’t allow plastic clipper guards in his shop. Everything had to be free hand OR you could use the metal detachable blades. I still use that technique today and I can’t keep up with the volume of business. My clients love the traditional Barber Shop haircuts. This was an awesome video. I loved it!!!
