Just another episode in the E28 rebuild series of my E28 M-sport plastic front bumper while next week will be the full repaint of the car.
We have a nice restoration of an M-Technic airdam off my 1988 BMW 535is E28.
Being repainted in the OEM Zinnoberrot 138 that can also be found on E30 & E24 models from 1980 to 1988. (Also known as cinnabar red)
We first begin by sandblasting the frame and sanding down the whole bumper. Then repaired any cracks and damage with 3M bondo bumper filler and sanded that back down as well. After we use some adhesion promoter before applying primer to the front bumper.
