You didn't mention Russia thereby opening the gate to teenager Diana Ankudinova. As another commenter put it; There are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human. First, she is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She won the genetics lottery, and it's been called the Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. So far, this is the very best reaction on Dimash. Focused and precise analytic based on huge knowledge and personal talents of Mr Old Composer. Dimash developed some kind of Adam apple technology, like a throat gear shift. You can see with the bare eye how he controlled move it while he glide from deep to high notes, from falsetto through mixed to head voice with no effort at all. Its seems like a magic. Beside his enormous emotional performance, there is real organ engineering. i believe that one day when D become a teacher and mentor, he will transfer his invention or methodology on his students as one of most important legacy in human civilization. His mother is beautiful soprano, whole family are musicians and with that background, massive talent, genetic and unbelievable amount of hard work it is resulted with miracle we can witnessed in our life. He is the greatest singer on the planet of all time.

Most people listening to a song, even professionals, don't hear it the way a composer or conductor hears it. He hears it in the smallest details of voices and instruments and at the same time as something unified and whole. I enjoyed the reaction to such small but complex details from the composer. Thanks!

Dimash had became a widely known and loved around the world but without any albums! The first one (and still the only one) he released a while back (it got a platinum status almost right away . Sorry but I totally do not remember that impressive statistics. ) The album’s name is “ID” and it is available on different platforms … mostly it is in Chinese language as a “thank you” to his admirers in China. Currently he is working closely with Kazakh composers to release a second one in his native language! All Dears are in the anticipation! Thank you so much for your comments!

Dimash's name translated to English is "God given" or "gift from God." I believed it before, but especially after hearing him sing "Ave Maria", written to fit his style and vocal range by both Igor, and himself. The original Ave maria has been performed over 3000 times since it was written, but not like Dimash did it; a must listen.

This song was composed by Mistro Igor Krutoy who is at the piano for Dimash. Igor came out of semi-retirement when he heard Dimash sing to compose for him. The two work very well together and have come up with some wonderful songs.

Just a second before "Ave Maria" there is a sound like rocks break ore something. I see like heaven break open and his soul fly up to heaven. And after "Ave Maria" there ist a sound too, like he fell on the groud and woke up...and his emotional face expression, his eyes show it...and his heart started to beat again. A journey...a dream. The maestro playing the piano is Igor Krutoy (ee-gor Crewtoy) a very famous Russian composer. He only plays for Dimash when it is a song that he has personally written. He heard Dimash perform a song with A Train, and came out of semiretirement to work with him. Salmaltau is a Kazakh song, Dimash sings in his studio, it is a folk song about a Kazakh man who is forced to leave his country to march with the Soviet army to fight in their war. The composition uses some native Kazakh instruments that are absolutely haunting. Also, a newer song is "River of Love" which is primarily a musical song where Di plays the Kazakh instrument the Dombra (very well) and with only a keyboard to accompany him it is a lovely song. In Russian "goosebumps" (as a feeling) we call "мурашки" (murashki). It's like many tiny ants runing on your skin and making you feel shivers. Actual 'goose bumps' often is using to describe a skin condition (e.g. when you've been in water too long or feeling cold).

Aloha! I have discovered Dimash a few years back and thought he was just beautiful as an artist. He is on a level all his own with not only his crazy range but also how he feels/emotes each word/note of the song he is singing. I appreciate his uniqueness in that he uses many different musical genres in to a song; even within lines and phrases, who does that? He does it effortlessly too! And at the end of each performance, he always thanks Igor Krutoy/musicians. Because they work so beautifully together! For all his fame/fortune; never forgets to stay respectful and humble; while spreading the ethnic flavors of his homeland of Kazakhstan. He literally is the song! What is interesting is his overall command of the stage; even before he sings, he knows when to build that anticipation and largely so because of the music buildup sometimes. A fellow local, thank you for coving him and his music.

Oh thanks for expressing your opinion indeed! He is called as angel or an alien many times!!!! There are so much out there to watch from Dimash!!!! One of my favs from his concert in 2017 (BASTAU) where he sang a song called Daybreak! It is so emotional because of song’s background! It is real story based song written by singer Hang Hong about a 7 year old boy who lost his parents in cable car accident (they sacrificed their life’s to save him)! A boy was adopted by Hang Hong later. I cry every time when I hear and see how Dimash delivers the song!!!!!

In Norwegian it's called _Gåsehud_ and he gives me it, every single time! He is the best singer I have ever heard and not only that butt his _INNLEVELSE_ my god... It's also a Norwegian word as I'm not sure if there is an English word that depicts it quite like _innlevelse_ does. Directly translated _innlevelse_ means inside living, butt it of course means to live what you are doing. Mean the words you are singing and oh my god does he ever. Guess it also goes under stage performance ? He is a performer no doubt. Belongs on the stage and in peoples ears and hearts forever ❤️

It’s a dream come true for any composers to write a song for Dimash. Why? Because of freedom. No longer bound by limitations of creativity, a composer is free to create any kind of unimaginable performance and let Dimash carries it to the audience to enjoy. One such example is Olimpico (Ogni Pietra), an impossibly song to solo, composed by Igor Krutoy (the same composer of this song) for Olympic Opening song in Europe.

I’m not a religious person but the first thing that came to mind listening to the Ave Maria part was “angel”. Ogni Pietra is a totally different song by Dimash, maybe that one next.
