@@IReITaN Apollon, Kjuagutt, Rævedilter and Vågal are all pretty cozy bars. I rarely dine at resturants so I couldn't really tell you. Btw, visiting Ulriken or Fløyen (mountains) is worth it, great view:)

It is one thing to make such a catastrophic PR fumble like BSG has done with that moronic edition. It is another for not 1, not 2, but 3 extraction shooters being released within the same time. GreyZone launched yesterday and Arena Breakout is coming soon. Did not know Vigor was even a thing until this video, but that is just another kidney shot to Tarkov. Shame that the business people at BSG are holding back and seemingly hellbent on tearing down all they have built so far. Hell Arena Breakout has been marketing by directly taking shots at Tarkov even before the Unheard of Edition was revealed. I even feel like Grey Zone moved the release date to be sooner purely to bank off the immense backlash Tarkov is getting right now.

The vigor assests would work great in dayz too, and I've suspected a similar thing ever since the lamas was added - a near identical model to the one used in vigor, save for downgraded textures

As an ex-Vigorian here, I've been saying for years Vigor is/was kinda a test-ground for DayZ. The maps were gorgeous and with a lot of character! Hope they can reproduce them with the Survival-DayZ twist.

Frostline sounds like a weather engine - probably in relation specifically to snow and ice. Perhaps we'll see a whole new set of winter weather conditions - with options for all available maps. So, instead of a "winter version" of a map, its just a toggle for winter/snow conditions, placing procedural textures and specific assets, perhaps even including weather texture replacements for most or all buildings

I was kinda thinking the same thing... Or maybe something like a seasonal pattern type of engine that also takes altitude into consideration so it could be raining in kammy, snowing at nwaf, and sunny in electro all at the same time during a spring like season

Remember earlier they said they were going to do a collaboration, everyone thought the payday mask were coming back. Might be the other game partnership as mentioned in this video. Either way should be an interesting show.

Vigor was wonky as anything when I played it on Xbox release, but I am excited to see it on PC and happy if your theory is correct that the beautiful world assets of Vigor can be appreciated on a DayZ, since that has had a lot more development time invested than Vigor.

Norway is perfect for DayZ. It’s where Vigor takes place, another game made by Bohemia. Vigor has so many DayZ Easter eggs in it I love it. I got the DayZ baseball cap I still wear it in every encounter.

I do not care for the VIgor game but if that game helps make improvements to DayZ then wonderful. I would buy a 19,99 game to make DayZ better and more fun, although modding has kind of made DayZ the best experience ever so I guess we can thank Arma for that in truth.

Provided Vigor port is done WELL, I might buy it to support devs. Anyway new map tailored specifically for DayZ gameplay would be gold. I also like harsh winter conditions although such map is best played when it's fall/winter outside our windows too. Btw if only Arma Reforger engine could be somehow ported to Dayz. Even DayZ sequel on said engine would be great.

My theory is the snow that falls in his glove is the new map. After months of asking in the dev streams I asked on X last week. If you think that there's anything to my idea and want to give a shoutout I'd appreciate it. Just pause the video as it lands in his glove you can see how it looks like a map. Now that you've made a connection to Vigor, the runway could be a part of that if you rotate it.

Vigor is actually pretty fun, the base/home doesn't make much sense but you can craft weapons/ammo and target pracice though. The house upgrades just weren't worth the time to put into them.

I have been vigor and day for years on xbox and i can say the weather effects on Vigor are really good I hope they can bring those over to dayZ there are also ton more weapons on Vigor then dayz it would be interesting if some came over like crew serve machine guns or a few of the gadgets like fake scope glint or environmental effects like car alarms going off if opening doors or birds be flushed if a player is creeping by.

HEY didnt I say it would be Norway inspired, not Tanoa ;) Also, the sling bags added last year are all Vigor assets. The ballistic helmets added in 1.24 are from reforger. There has been asset sharing between games for a while! As for an engine bridge to use Vigor's engine for map design, that'd be incredible but tough I think. Vigor runs on Unreal 5, and DayZ and older ARMA games map files are ancient tech, but if it is a way to design maps in either Unreal or Enfusion map editor and backport them to DayZ then this'll be the biggest update for modders ever. They did say they want to improve the map editing tools for modders, and allowing us to use Unreal or Enfusion editors to create terrain would be AMAZING
