Beautiful. He reminds me so much of my beautiful Old English Sheepdog Baa-baa. She's been gone for 26 years and I still miss her and dream about her.

I too had an OES many years ago, he was such a funny bouncy clown and provided so much love and entertainment. He also lived with a cat and was alone all day from humans, but he loved knowing his cat friend was there. I am sorry for the people shaming you about leaving Wallace alone all day - they are trolls. There are many happy healthy dogs that can't go to work with their beloved humans.

Lol !!!!! My OES puppy (12 weeks) acts like a person. Brought her home last week and she immediately jumps on the bed and puts her head on the pillow like a person. God I love that dog

I live in Las Vegas and have had 2 . The best personality for a dog ever. Just trim them down for summer and don’t leave them out in the summer, actually never leave them out especially by themselves as they are a dog who wants human companion. I love this breed. I am75 and had several breeds to learn more about each. They were all good but OES always wins out. A lot of people have not had other breeds to make a non biased decision, I have had several but not all. But I am done exploring and going back to OES.

Have had four OES one we had to give up. the other three live to be 12 years 16 years and the last 11years 2 months 3 days from turning 12 a sudden illness from out of no where struck 1-9-2014, I refused to go into the vets spent my final 20 minutes before making the trip to the vets even today 5 years later its still a Raw nerve that I rarely talk about openly.

They hold such a special place in our hearts and live on forever! We lost our first OES at 4 yrs old to cancer and I still tear up when I think about him.

only 4 years that's too short our last OES could of been treated blood transfusion at $1000.00 and there was no guarantee it would work.

I loved this! Beautiful dog ❤️ I noticed at one point when Wallace was sleeping on the bed his hair tie fell out (Adorable!) Does he like his hair down or up? Looks like he has a beautiful and fun life. 🙂😍 The only thing that drove me crazy were the moments when you could tell the camera was moving but not how. 😂😂 I imagined everything from you guys being home to a little toy helicopter flying around 😂 🚁 🚁 and then finally that the cat was a spy. 🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Fun video! (Fantastic editing!!)

Loved this!!! Is it harder to have him in Texas? I live in Phoenix and want one desperately (wanted one for a long time but always talked myself out of it bc of the heat - we have a pool though?) Such a sweet boy :)

Are bobtails also sheepdogs? I am trying to figure it out. If you could help me, I'd appreciate it. I'm looking into getting one for my family of 5 and can't wait. A bot concerned as we are going from a pikegnise to a big dog

Bobtail is the nickname for sheepdogs, that is just what they refer to them when there tail is docked. I think you should be fine going from a small to big dog. If you get him/her when there a puppy, start the training immediately. They are very easy to train and are so much fun.

Mine is not alone at all, yet does pretty much the same routine (minus the mirror watching haha). Mostly nothing.. then exactly the same one burst of energy running around for like 1 minute, then back to finding the most comfy place to chill and do nothing … all..day..long! (Belly rub interruptions welcomed at anytime.) She barks if anything is out of place or new.. then goes back to her routine. The perfect temperament to be happy lazily watching sheep all day long or something 😂 She is a lovable, sweet joy. We have a farm. She could be out with the excitement, but she prefers her life of leisure😎 and we enjoy her too much to leave her out on duty.

Cute video, but so sad that Wallace has to spend the entire day alone until his owner comes home. My partner and I have four rescued Old English Sheepdogs, and they ALWAYS have someone here with them. They are beautiful, loving, intelligent, dogs.

And because people like you think that a dog can't be left alone in his/her own home, warm, with a backyard, with working couple or a single person those dogs continue at the shelters. 😔 So people prefer to buy a pet at the pet stores. 😤

The dogs at home will know that his/ her owner will come back for them.🙂 Different scenario is at the shelters and rescue centers.😔😔

Humans can be okay, but why would a dog prefer human companionship to a cat, some toys, a little outdoor space... a big cushy bed?!!

It locks from the inside. It’s locked at night and when we are not home

Also, can't the cat get out through the dog flap? It looks like it is big enough for the cat to get through, and since cats are climbers, there's a danger the cat could get out of the yard. How is this handled?

Lou, our cat, was able to come & go out the dog door. Yes she could jump over the fence and go - except she never did. She was content with us and our yard and never once jumped over the fence. Guess she was content 🤷♀️

This is sad because you can tell he is lonely. Why don't y'all get him a dog walker. They have places to keep your dog while your at work. They play with other dogs all day. Some people dont deserve dogs.
