It's always great to have some fill sites. I worked for a guy 30 years ago that bought the rights to back fill an old quarry. Everybody said he was stupid to pay about a million for that, but after six months he broke even and it took several more years to fill it in completely. People were really mad because he kept underbidding all of the ones that called him stupid. It was always fun dealing with 200 truck loads of wet stuff on a rainy day.

Nice to see you take the extra step of digging a hole for the concrete waste. In the future, someone working that land will not know to thank you for it, because his expensive cultivation equipment will not be wrecked on a pile of cinder blocks 10 inches deep. He'll glide right over them thanks to you.
@WeTrudgeOn
@WeTrudgeOn 2 жыл бұрын
Just FYI, those are NOT cinder blocks they are concrete blocks. Cinder blocks are made from ash from coal-fired power plants. Cinder blocks are usually a bluish-gray color. I don't really know if they are actually made anymore, they were popular 40-50 years ago. I believe they quit making them because the coal ash can have some toxic stuff in it. You still see em tearing down old buildings.

Cover 'em up with some dirt like you did with the concrete and a bunch of my problems would be solved! You can throw their ugly house in the hole with them. @JC1028 if you were a farmer you would know that freezing and thawing brings rocks to the surface. That erosion washes away the topsoil It may look nice and pretty when he's done, and the current owner might be happy, but when the next owner comes along and wants to run tile and put in a few terraces across that swale, they are going to be cussing out that idiot that thought it was a good idea to fill that hole in with concrete. I sympathize with the new land owner because I am having to deal with cleaning up this same type of mess. The previous owner dumped hundreds of truckloads of rock and covered it up with dirt so it would look nice and now every time I run the field cultivator thru it, I have to go back and pick up boulders. It is no fun having to clean up someone else's mess when you paid a premium price for what you thought was virgin ground.
