old fashioned donuts used to be this crunchy. a couple years ago, these were still around more often I think and I ate them and they were this crunchy. they were nothing like cookies

Sounds like you've been living under a rock or you're still a kid... no way you've lived to be an adult, yet still not once seen these classic donuts in your lifetime....these may not be as common today, but even a decade ago they were still a staple in all donut shops. Tbh, mine still make these. 🤔

@@f.justf.7230old fashioned donuts are indeed crunchy, but they are old fashioned because they use a chemical leavener. This man very clearly made a cookie recipe, old fashioned dough does not come out that thick nor would you need to roll it out and press cut molds the same way he has done.

@@rawna ohh its in the description box actually! Whenever you watch reels,tap the 3 dots and choose description. But here i'll write it for you! Dry ingredients : 175 g cake flour 70 g sugar 20 g pure cocoa powder Wet ingredients : 40g unsalted butter 1 egg Thats all :D * I recommend to decrease the sugar amount,if you're not a sweet-tooth lol. Maybe like 50-60 g? And also add salt a lil bit just to balance the flavor. This is my suggestions tho :D

OMG I just saw your reply. I couldn't find this recipe elsewhere so I tried telling chatgpt to make up the measurements xD it was runny but fixable. 60% sugar is the go +salt! I'll retry it now with the correct measurements so thank you so much ❤
