One thing I love from Japanese BL is, they don't do fan service. And even if they do, it's just on bare-minimum level. If it's a movie, they only do it during the premiere time. And it's not even themselves, but their characters. And fans doesn't mind it at all. Fun fact from this BL dorama : Takeda Kouhei, the one who act as Nozue (the older one) is married in real life. He also acted in two Kamen Rider Series. First is Kamen Rider Kiva back in 2008, and second is Kamen Rider Build in 2017. In Kamen Rider Build, he acted together with Akaso Eiji (Cherry Magic) and Inukai Atsuhiro (Man Who Defies The World of BL)

I was so glad when I recognize Takeda kohei (Nozue) in this drama, more than 10 years ago he was one of my big crush. His smile is absolutely gorgeous. He is so cute and so handsome at the same time. Thank you for the reaction.

Out of the BLs that came out this year, I definitely enjoyed this series. I prefer this live action compared to its manga. The actors did an amazing job. Especially in the later episode they acted out a specific scene in one take.

That's the Togawa Effect!! You know how much I adore this series. Everything about it was absolutely perfect for me. The storyline, the adult characters, the focus only on them, along with the amazing soundtrack. The music was so wonderful for a BL based series on older male characters. None of that annoying twinkly background sounds to inform the audience of what was going on regarding the characters motivations for a particular scene. Also, I am not a sweets craving gal, but I craved pancakes during the initial run of this series something fierce. Everything looked delicious!

I'm so excited you watched Old Fashioned Cupcake. When I watched your reaction to Cherry Magic, I was impressed by a funny comment like In the eyes of the BL-verse, anyone out in the boondocks beyond college is old. But that's why I love Old Fashioned Cupcake so much. Two characters are mature and independent people with their own careers and lives and then, they run towards each other firmly. In addition, I really like the stereotype-breaking content in the series. Yeah, everyone can choose what they like.

Those were some tangents - but very relevant!! Speaking of tangents....I am very fortunate to live in a country where EVERYONE gets 5 weeks vacation each year WITH pay, we also get 1 year payed maternity leave (which can be divided between the mom and the dad or momS/dadS if that the case), we get free general health care all our lives + free surgeries if needed, we get free dentest up until the age of 21, we get free schooling (even college/uni), we even get student aid that are not to be paid back, we get free retirement aid at the age of 65, and if you become unimplpyed for whatever reason we get free financial aid (app. 2000 dollars each month for the first 2 years, after that it drops every 6th month) ---- On the flip side of all of this is, that we pay between 30-45% taxes, depending on you income. And while paying 45% taxes may seem extreme to most people, tbh The Danes love our welfare system! 🤩 I am excited to watch this show with you! I only watched it like a month ago or something like that, but it really captured my heart! The 39 year old being stuck, not daring to move forward, but in his heart actually longing for something else... So them acting like teenage girls, to boost his seratonen leval to keep him young, is so sweet!

I am so happy you started this! Thank you so much for watching OFC, i love it so much. Might be in my top BLs of all time♥️ And yes i get you, Togawa is gorgeous 😂♥️ both are gorgeous honestly. And yes..BL series with older characters in office or non office settings always have such a different vibe to them. Add food to the mix and perfect!. Japan especially does this very well. I hope you enjoy old fashion cupcake as much as i did with Nozue and Togawa♥️ Another Japanese BL series with older characters is Kinou Nani Tabeta? (what did you eat yesterday) it barely has any skinship at all..just follows the daily lives of a gay couple in their fourties and what they eat 😂♥️ it is 12 episodes and it's such a precious series♥️ Japanese BL series and movies are my favourites from Pornographer, Ossan's Love to Life Senjou no Bokura..all have been just beautiful pieces. Really enjoyed your reaction!♥️

I found out abt OFC after finishing kr build cause I love kazumins actor. The build to bl pipeline is the way to go with the bl series I've seen recently. Cherry Magic and OFC are my favorites both staring kamen rider actors (Akaso Eiji and Takeda Kouhei) and the main mc from the series, Atsuhiro Inukai, has also been in two bl series; the man who defies the world of bl and Kei x Yaku

hi again. i watched ur channel when u reacted to cherry magic. btw, fyi the older character here and the one who played adachi in cherry magic had a series together before, it is a japanese superhero (tokusatsu) series called "kamen rider build".. 😂 actors who played there ended up in BL.. 😂

yeeyy!! so glad you're reacting to this series, it's so beautiful, my favorite japanese gay drama 💙 ( I would also suggest korean drama 'to my star') i also wanted to share my thoughts about their 'acting like a girl' topic. when i saw them talk about it for the first time i also thought it's stereotypical but then! i realized that they did this on purpose. obviously anyone can do whatever they want to/be close with whoever they want to and shouldn't be labeled for that. but unfortunately we still live in the world with gender norms: if two girls are too close then they're just best friends meanwhile if guys do the exact same thing they are necessarily 'gay' (here comes toxic masculinity +homophobia). so by pretending 'girls' they are trying to fit in and be protected in their society but at the same time breaking those norms (you'll see this eventually happening so on as they will bring it up again). this whole thing made me fall in love with this drama even more, it's so beautiful :(❤️ thank you for your video!! can't wait to see more of your reactions, you're wonderful, love you 💜

I liked the tangent you went off on. I worked in a cubicle before, it's not for me. Also, most jobs are like how dare you take time off because you are sick or your kids are sick. That is if you can even afford to take the sick day because you aren't getting paid if you aren't working. If you do get paid (for sick days) it's strongly discouraged you actually use those sick days... yeah. I could go on forever about the jobs and toxic work ethic people try to push onto us. I'll be looking forward to your next reaction to this one. I've been really enjoying the Japanese BLs lately.

It's no surprise coffee affects serotonin. I have genetical issues with serotonin absorption, in simple terms I don’t have enough of it. Oh so coincidentally I'm severely addicted to caffeine because it helps raise the serotonin levels. I recenctly went from 4-5 cups a day (a habit that has been going on for many years) to just one coffee a day and some rare days no coffee at all. It's very difficult but I'm trying my best because otherwise my blood vessels will combust
