This brought back some great memories of when I was a young boy. I would help my grandmother lay out, one by one, slices of apples and peaches on brown paper that were on long sheets of tin on sawhorses. Then in the middle of the day we would turn each piece of fruit over and let them get sun. At the end of the day she would take all the fruit and put in cloth cotton sacks over night. The next day, repeat the process until they were good and dry. Good memories and some very good eating! Thank you for sharing.
