How in the world do you figure out who did it to begin with? Yes, this crap is wrong, but at the end of the day most youtubers and streams do not have this happen to them. Main reason is because they take precautions. This particular man was a bit loose with his tongue from time to time and let slip enough personal info that someone pieced together his exact location. In his particular case, it was avoidable, but he was naive in regards to the possibilities of those who are dedicated enough to hunt you down for a laugh.

Had this been something fictional, like some cartoon character or a book character, they would've just given it a glance and left. Terminally online people love torturing public figures, and it's disgusting.

You know what I think, they don't forget. A lesson that I've learnt from being on the internet a little, especially the bad areas of twitter, is to never underestimate how evil people can be, they will go out of their way to make someone feel like shit, because they get off on that sort of thing. They're ignorant, arrogant and argumentative, it's a very hateful place and I make sure to never forget it and accidentally get myself hurt. These days I just run when I see certain negativity, cuz it puts me in a kind of "doomer" mentality and its important to protect your peace.

This man needed to watch how much personal info he let slip, but he got careless, and I dare say a bit too naive in regards to how trusting he was with countless strangers who would watch his videos or streams. He got pin pointed to the point of his land line easily being found out... that is actually crazy to me. And how they got his cell as well, I am not sure, but something tells me it is in one of his older vids or streams that someone went back and watched in order to find the info. Once a single thing is found out, it is likely it was somewhere else in the past as well. Sadly that is how a lot of people get fully doxxed. It wasn't that they had the address itself, but plenty of other info that made it much easier to figure it out.

When enough people set their mind to something, it's not hard to cause a LOT of problems. Best response to stuff like this is creating a good defense. Being an online celebrity, dude needs to create backup phone numbers, and alert local authorities to who he is. It's also on society and law enforcement to not allow a few jackasses to create hysteria and ruin people's lives with just a few phone calls. Bottom line is that people need to not take the internet lightly; clean up surroundings before recording/streaming and never say anything regarding personal info. Unfortunately this guy, little by little would say things that let people to figure out not only his city, but even which part of the city he lived in. Eventually enough information was given that someone (or a group, not sure) pieced it together and pin pointed him which led to his landline being found out. Not sure how his cell was leaked though
