You might be the only one who bought a 29oz. It is Kinda scary you can play Senior ball in a year. So many bats that you will go through. 😂 Good Stuff and I appreciate the love. Keep hitting it !

I’m not a professional bat reviewer. I just wanted to show some love to Adam. But if folks like the content even with my terrible editing I’ll give her a go lol. Thanks bro.

Great to see the video Josh! Missed seeing you in the FGBP videos! Quick question, I have regarding the ASA/USA 12” end load Suncoast backlash bat: I’m debating between a 27.5 and a 28.5. For context, I’m swinging a 27.5 slugger catalyst (12” barrel and their “1oz” end load), so torn between a 27.5 and 28.5 because the Suncoast is a .5oz end load opposed to the 1oz and I’ve heard that some Suncoast bats run light with regards to swing weight. Would love to hear your thoughts and thanks for taking the time to read my comment.

Thanks Brother :) So you're in luck - I swung the 29.5 oz USA/ASA 12" Backlash bat (Orange and Black 1). Your thought process is also 100% on point. Based off of you swinging the Catalyst, I would say you should go with the 27.5 oz. The reason why is there is 1 more factor at play and that's how thin the handle is. Thinner handle usually means a heavier feeling barrel and it's the same with this one. The orange CE feels very endloaded and is by far the best of the USA/ASA line. Now the bat is an absolute tank. You'll definitely want to break it in with 44's and it will NEED to be broken in. Once she gets there though - she can hang with any of the hot USA/ASA bats. She REALLY shines in the cold weather though because balls are harder. Anyways hope this helps. :)

@@MarraSoftball Thank you for the feedback and insight Josh! One is in the mail for me now and I’m looking forward to swinging it. I’m currently swinging a Monsta sinister and love it but I just feel it is too light and I prefer an end load feel compared to a mid load. Also looking forward to being able to use the bat in cold weather and hit both 52s and 44s with it, opposed to the Monsta which I feel I have to baby unless it’s warmer conditions

@@RUNPMC 100% valid man. Almost all bats have a sweet spot around the same area of the barrel, but the "misses" are where you can really tell the characteristics of a bat. In your case: Sinister: Is better when you miss near the handle than if you miss near the endcap. Orange Suncoast: Is better when you miss near the endcap than when you miss near the handle. Short barrel bats (12") typically all perform better on misses near the endcap than the handle. The sinister is a 12.5", but it's also an outlier because of the FIB tech. The way the bat's restrictor is designed, it's better to miss towards the handle. Now obviously no one wants to miss at all lol but it's definitely something to consider.

@@MarraSoftball Great points and thanks for the insight on the Suncoast. My misses definitely tend to be towards the cap, probably why I like the shorter barrel bats and probably from playing baseball. Also, this might be counter intuitive but I feel like I can control heavier bats so much better than lighter bats. With my sinister it feels like I have to take a 75% swing to control, but with the catalyst I can swing however I like and I can control it.

@@MarraSoftballHey Josh, just wanted to give you an update. I ended up going with the 28.5 in the 12” end load because I was planning to leave the grip on and I only use athletic tape on the 27.5 catalysts. The Asa Suncoast is great and I definitely favor it over my sinister at this point because of the feel and the swing weight. I think for the warranty I will probably go up to 29.5 is they have them in stock! For your Suncoast ASA bats did they eventually break? If so, after how many swings did they last for?
