Да, я занимаюсь обслуживанием и реставрацией арифмометров. И в начале прошлого года мне его предложили. Ну я и согласился, ссылаясь на то, что было интересно покопаться в “переделке” такого необычного цвета, и заодно оценить работу предыдущего мастера). Поэтому, когда увидел это видео, я сразу о нём вспомнил, благо в таком цвете, он, наверно, единственный. Ну и после полного просмотра Вашего видео, не осталось никаких сомнений, что это именно тот экземпляр, который был у меня в работе).

@@ITBR_Restoration oh, thanks ! that's very clear. so basically he takes the number adds it four times, then shift by one factor ten, add three (thirty) times the number again and so on, that actually makes a lot of sense. it doesn't show the division but yes, i suppose by first inputing the number you want down, (shifted to the right to have enough decimals) the0n by what you want to divide up, and roll down until the remaining value is negligible enough. damn i kind of want to buy one now ! 😅

@@Lapantouflemagic0 it does mechanical longhand multiplication and division. It is also possible to extract square roots. I think cube roots can be done with tables for that purpose but I haven’t tried it.

Eu tenho uma calculadora elétrica de 4 operações da Burroughs. Que projetou um troço daquele só pode ter sido projetado por alienígenas.... tem uma mecânica extremamente complexa. Ela não está funcionado .... eu desanimo de tentar consertar cada vez que veja a parte mecânica.

Некоторые умудрялись квадратные корни извлекать. Через танцы с бубнами, но работало

Do you not know you that can change the playback speed by clicking on the "settings" (gear icon) at the bottom right corner? All the way up to double speed, or even slow it down to boost your pain.

@@ITBR_Restoration нет! Приходится смотреть на два калькулятора и в итоге ты не видишь принцип работы мех. калькулятора. Можно простыми вычислениями показать принцип работы, а не грузить миллиардами.
