Should clear coat it. The bare metal will oxidize

I really like the color of the metal, but you're right about what you said. When I did it, it never crossed my mind. Next time I make another piece I will give it a special metal varnish.

Nice work! Be careful using the side of that grinding wheel like that. It can cause blow outs and the wheel could shatter. I've seen it happen!
