Today im sharing a coffee table makeover ! I absolutely love how it turned out . This table was given to me by my dad's girlfriend ! She loved how I did all my projects and she also was super passionate about diys. So she gave me this table and said she knew I could transform it into something amazing Unfortunately she unexpectedly passed away before I could do the makeover so this table is definitely sentimental to me. Im sure shes so proud of how good it came out . She was an amazing person and im so thankful she was apart of my life and that I have something I can cherish forever. 💗

Karrie, When you are finishing off a piece of furniture you should use steel wool instead of sandpaper between coats of polycrylic. It gives a super smooth finish without the dangers of getting sanding marks. And then after the second coat of polycrylic dries you should use a coat of clear wax over the entire piece. All of that just helps to protect your stain and paint so that it holds up really well.

It came out fantastic . With the table and the new pillow covers, it seemed to brighten the room up. When using chalk paint, get yourself a mister water bottle and when painting a piece lightly mist the chalk paint and it will make it work much better. TFS😊

Hey your sock probably didn’t work because your sand paper doesn’t have the holes in it so the sander isn’t sucking the dust in! But great job, it looks awesome.

I think the dark rim goes along with the design on top! I definitely wasn’t expecting that design to show up! And I busted out laughing at the “stripper” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The table looks beautiful!!

Such a beautiful up-cycle!!! And girl all you gotta do is mix equal parts baking soda into your "regular" paint to make your own chalk paint 😉

your table looks beautiful karrie. you did a great job! i did the same thing to my kitchen table. the table i had was a huge farmhouse table that i painted in the style of makenzie childs.it's beautiful, but it's too big for my kitchen. so, as luck would have it i found a round pedistal table next to the dumpster where i live last year. i dragged it in the house and did the same treatment you did on your table. white bottom and stained top. the whole thing was all yellow. i'm not a yellow person, so i changed it. i just love it.

I always consider my furniture not made from 100% wood. A good way of checking you can check underneath the table top to see wood or plywood.

When I use the Chalk paint I always dip my brush in a little white. It really helps smooth it out. 😄 Love how your table came out.😍And I must say your fur baby is absolutely stealing the show! 🥰😍
