On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

I took the plunge and jumped into DCS. The 50% applies to select modules, and then GS's codes will apply an extra 10% of one of them. I picked up F/A-18c, F5e, Supercarrier, and FC3. After doing a few touch-and-goes and a carrier landing in the Hornet, I feel like I should have bought more of them, lol. Now time to order HOTAS and rudder pedals. I'm hooked. 😂

@@Utubesuperstar I think it's more the similarities between modern torpedoes and missiles. So both fights end up being this cat and mouse fight of launching the weapons and maneuvering and launching countermeasures to avoid their weapons in return.

both torpedos and fox3 missiles are about 2x faster than their launch platform, both are best won with stealth so no enemy projectiles to worry about

If you do end up using the hornet for some carrier ops, you should do it at night! Maybe some top gun 2 inspired canyon navigation? I think that would look great cinematically speaking, also the night time carrier landing (assuming you survive) would be spicy…

Did I see you employing skidding in that last attempt at defending? Using opposite rudder from roll to cause the aircraft to skid in a less predictable manner than if you had used coordinated roll and rudder?

After years of following you, I still learn so much. Well, I am a slow learner so the repetition definite helps. Perhaps one of the most useful elements is your consistent referals to the MFDs, switches, dials and knobs and their functionality. Serves as a useful reminder as to why such elements are so useful.

Hey man! LOVE your videos-keep em comin’!! I thought I once saw you did a video on the use of the switch (on the f-18) that enabled the pilot to use an extra percentage of emergency thrust. Do you have the link to that video? I’d like to use this concept in a scene of one of my books I’m writing (it’s a CAF CF-118 but hopefully is credibly accurate).
