1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 Coupe w111 - the classic beauty

The ALL TIME STARS experts oversaw the restoration of this vehicle; the Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 Coupe (W 111) is now in the same condition in which it was delivered in 1970. Utmost importance was attached to authenticity when carrying out the work.
In September 1969 the more powerful 280 SE 3.5 coupé and convertible models were presented. The completely new 3.5-liter V8-engine with 200 hp was very quiet and smooth and made sports car performance possible. These new models, and also the 280 versions with the 2.8-liter 6-cylinder engine had minor external modifications. The radiator grille was lower and wider and the bonnet was accordingly lower at the front. The bumpers were also modified, now being fitted with rubber strips like on the saloons. There were no external differences between the 8-cylinder versions and the new 6-cylinder versions.

If someone could shed some light on this comment, I would appreciate it: I have a 1988 Mercedes Benz 300 TE. It's gorgeous. Lately, upon excellerating, it doesn't want to "go" ....... the RPM'S rev up high but the car goes literally zero. Then it will kick in slowly, and jump and jerk while trying to catch up with itself. What do you think?

Einfach nur ein Traum. Schöner kann man ein Auto kaum bauen. Die Linien und der Charm dieses Coupés begeistern mich und zeugen von der hohen Ingenieurskunst der damaliger Designer und Autobauer. Das war noch ein Mercedes!

The color could be 906G code LIGHT BLUE METALLIC denomination, or 906G code GREYBLUE METALLIC denomination from GLASURIT (Line 90). There is a same code 906G for to two colors. Anyone can to confirm the car color?

I had one but a 71 280 se cp. 3.5 v8 white chocolate int. Sold it to by a house for 4500$ I was 25 yrs old in the 80s was in excellent cond.4 speed auto would really move ! I bet u want more than 4500$ for yours. Haha.memories !
