I hope you have a great visit with your granddaughter! I remember watching Nik the Booksmith make these years ago, fun! My sister-in-law in the Houston area got hit with the hurricane and has had no power for a week. They aren’t due to get it back on until Friday 😢 Thankfully her Aunt & Uncle brought them a generator and a window AC unit to get them by.

I agree it’s a nice way to use up scraps. Being a mass maker I have to use my pre made things. I always make neutrals and every color under the rainbow. So they will match every kit I use. Also I know what kits I have ( and it’s a lot) to pretty much match. Then use kit parts to make a few pieces. Love how this looks. 🌼🌼🌼

Enjoyed watching~ like the zigzag look. Nice addition to a journal. Smoke filled air in Montana today. I am sensitive to it, so will have to spend my time indoors. Good reason to do some cleaning :-). Rest well. Best wishes~ Valerie.

@@ritajensen8311 We have a fire on the outskirts of Missoula, and a bigger one in Helena that is creating the smoke. Oregon and California fires always keep summer smoke filled as well. Just have to get through it.

So glad you showed how to use the book while ripping the paper with the awl. I've been trying to find a cheap mouse pad to do it like you showed originally. 😂
