So Flake (keyboard player) has a treadmill because he gets bored when he isn't playing and wants to get his steps in. Part of why they got him the treadmill was because he ran over Till with a segway in 2005 in sweden on tour, and they had to cancel concerts in asia. And Flake plays one-handed because he wants some challenge.

"Mein Teil" is related to a case of cannibalism in Germany.

Just like another one already mentioned this song is based off Armin Meiwes, also known as the cannibal from Rothenburg. It's a real story and this song is about him. Google his story if you like. I once saw an interview with Flake (the keyboard player) and there he said, that during this bit once the flame thrower comes into play, he has to hold his breath because the fire sucks all the oxygen out of the area inside and outside the pot. So not only has he endure the heat he also has to hold his breath for about 30 seconds. Oh, and this was not a one time thing for this festival. They do this at every show when they play this song.

i have seen them 3 times and when we are allowed again i will go for my fourth time. they never get old. their shows are amazing.

The history of the band is quite interesting. They all grew up in East Germany and all the original members are still with the band. You should also check out "Ich Tu Dir Weh" and "Engel" from their Madison Square Garden show and "Du Hast" from their Paris show.

I've been listening to Rammstein since their beginnings. For the first time I was at a Clawfingers concert that made Rammstein a lead band and I did not believe what I heard and saw. After a few years, history turned around and the Clawfingers formed the lead band Rammstein. I have been and will also be at all their concerts here in the Czech Republic. In my opinion, this band has the best stage show in the world. Pyro effects are invented by the band's singer, who is also very interested in their production. Till has a very special and unique voice without vibration at the end. The band founded a new music genre NDH (Neue Deutsche Härte). If you are a fan of them and you are at their concert, you are incredibly excited, happy, tanned by fire, completely wet and deaf for other days. At the 2019 Tour, when they played this song, they even used a flame cannon at the end. You should search for this version.

The biggest metal band in Europe. This is Industrial metal. And this is not, interestingly enough, their most extreme performance. They always deliver. You may want to have a look at their videoclips as well, they always do an amazing job there.

Rammstein is by far the best live band I have ever seen live! I don’t speak or understand German, but damn, what a band!

1:36 it's the other way around, Till came up with the fisthammer first. Earlier in the days Till went through several knee surgeries, and when he performed on stage in Berlin his kneecap jumped out. Till literally hammerfisted it back into position and continued the concert. The manager of Rammstein thought this would be a cool move and asked Till to continue duing that. That was during their third concert in mid-1990. Sabaton hasn't been founded back then. It was Sabaton copying the move from Rammstein.

He's wearing that sparkly outfit because earlier in the concert he gets burned a different way, burning off a drab-y overall and leaving that. Also, on their recent tour (spoiler?) they upgraded the stage show for this song. Larger flamethrower, and they did away with the pot. They just stuck him in one of those high temperature firefighting suits and toasted him.

Im a German and yes, all German cooking infomercials are like this. It's not allowed to cook meat or cook in general without brutal music. It's considered a crime. We also yell everytime we try to speak. Everything sounds like a command. Oh, and we all drive at least 150mp/h on the German Autobahn. There are no speed limits. We also yell while driving fast.

so i saw them in 2019 and in this song they had a new 3rd flamethrower that was huge, is a good idea to check the videos of that tour, also Flake the keyborder walks on the threadmil during all show, just goes out and about sometimes to kick Till or get thrown inside weird places or weird situations. My boyfriend saw them 3 times and he said all the times they have new and improved show and it makes it amazing everytime.... it was absolutelly the best show i ever saw

Their outfits are standard for Industrial, not for only Industrial Metal but also for other subgenres like Hellektro or Cyber Goth. It has nothing to do with Germany, although most of the Industrial bands/projects come from Europe. In case you didn't know, Industrial Metal is heavily based on EDM, both rhythmically and electronically, so the "metal" members (guitars, bass, drums and vocals) usually have a metal look, while the electronics' members (synths/keyboards) usually have a Techno, Rave look.

Rammstein always have awesome videos, but their live shows are even beyond these. Here are some suggestions: "Sonne" (Live at Download Festival 2016) --> Hot as the name giving sun (Sonne = Sun) "Ich tu Dir weh" (Hurricane Festival / Rammstein Official) --> Great singing and insane stage action towards the end) „Willst Du das Bett in Flammen Sehn" (Paris Version) --> Pyro Fashion, power, everything that Rammstein stands for "Benzin" (Madison Square Garden) --> Benzin = Gasoline --> burns well. And maybe also a man? There are of course a lot more insane live videos of them: "Links 2,3,4", Engel, "Mann gegen Mann", "Mutter", "Feuer Frei", "Ich will", ... Have fun and rock on! Paris is more a concert movie with post production and released as Directors Cut“. You have to be aware that here a German band is playing in Paris / New York and the French / American audience is singing along in German. Music can unite! :-)

I watched an interview from them, the guitarist note that sometimes it really does get hot. You'll see when Til (Lead singer) does the flame thrower the guitarist on the left side swings to the side because of the heat.

That kind of metal is called "Neue Deutsche Härte" - New german hardness (translated word for word). Its a deprevation of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. There are several bands from this Era. Rammstein, tho they might be the most famous, they are younger than the godfathers of that type of Music - Ooomph! If you want more of that type of music, heres a list of Bands, despite Rammstein you could or rather should check out. Megaherz, Ooomph!, Eisbrecher, and many more... ;)

They actually hated filming that bit for XXX. Firstly, the location wasn't a soundstage. It was some church in the middle of nowhere in eastern europe, and windy/cold as fuck. Secondly, they had to work with the movie's pyro-team, and apparently those guys were bad at their job. Allegedly (according to the band) "some eyebrows were lost that day"

Well not really goat sacrifices, sorry. Their stage shows are always huge, so I definitely recommend seeing them live. Before that, "Engel" (Madison Square Garden) is an essential Rammstein song. "Wiener Blut" in Wacken 2013 (same year as Nightwish! not the same night tho) is one their creepiest songs imo.
