A lot of non-Chinese Malaysians can speak Mandarin and/or the various dialects primarily Hokkien and Cantonese. They can also read and write in Chinese because many studied in Chinese medium schools in Malaysia. I am Indian and I have many cousins who went to Chinese school and some cousins who are actually mixed race Indian-Chinese.

As a Malaysian, I would say now it’s not durian season. That’s why little pricey. And the place you ate is tourist place, ask for non tourist place to eat from Malaysian I always eat at SS2 You can also go Penang and Pahang, mostly durian came from there

The fruit on the tree should be a local version of noni - touted as a health wonder. As for the red seeds, it is from the Saga tree. Little kids used to collect them to make 'five stones' or to play 'congkak'. Some kids do take them as 'baobei' and compare how many seeds they have collected. Be careful when collecting them because during dry weather, the tree tends to be teeming with red ants that pinch. The seeds are not edible. By the way, I love your videos and your personality. I seldom subscribe to new channels I stumble on but you've a new subscriber!

Udang merah (red prawn) taste very unique..its taste more fruity. But musang king still the best for me. The seed so small, the flesh thick, sweet and creamy. Other famous variety is black thorn. D24 more common and price affordable. Now is durian season, red prawn and musang king cheaper now. Happy ramadhan kareem!

let me clear the misunderstandings in the videos. yes, it is preferable to be on any vehicle to move around the country. at times it is toooooooo hot to walk. and even if it is cooler, it must be raining... hehe walking culture is rare in Malaysia... 5:18 it is could be a basketball or a Futsal court. cricket is rare in Malaysia. only Bangladeshi or Indians from India play cricket. But Futsal & basketball is a popular sport in Malaysia. Maybe the goal post is hidden or removed 8:15 the red seed is called Saga (Adenanthera) 16:00 the Red Prawn durian is considered the one of the expensive durian bred to us local too. the original durian (that was not mutated through research) is called durian kampung. normally this durian is the cheapest... 18:25 Barley drink is not made from rice, but Barley itself.. 23:30 Black thorn, Red Prawn, D24, 101, Musang King among others.. These are normally the mutated bred & considered expensive because of its creaminess, fluffiness & smaller seeds

Great post keon. Also, i would recommend getting a place nearer to the golden triangle (there are quite a few places you can get for a bargain if the time is tight), or at least get an accommodation nearer to a LRT/MRT station - KL, mostly, is not a place built for pedestrian - i am local and i walk and use public transport to work, and i can do that coz i know where to stay, and my workplace is right by a station. 😅

Assalamualaikum brother Yusuf & sis Aisyah. If you are still in Malaysia during Ramadhan, you can go to mosque nearest to break your fast. Usually they have sponsor for anyone who likes to break fast there. Its free and would be a nice experiences + doing taraweeh in Malaysia, isnt bad idea right? Also, since you are staying near KLCC, why not take a peek into underwater aquarium inside the KLCC? It will be very nice. For buying cheaper food at night or cheep window shopping, i would recommend market at Jalan TAR (Tunku Abdul Rahman). Not so far from Dataran Merdeka ( the one with big Malaysia's flag). During Ramadhan, they have big food bazaar around there starting 4pm till adzhan Maghrib. Enjoy your stay in Malaysia!

yep so bad, coming from me that preferred riding motor more than car. KL really such a compact territory given that it was established in haste for protected-sanctuary during communist insurgency after WW2-era. today with most household have atleast 2-3 owned transportation at high-speeds, we need better pedestrian or efficient public transports .

Been watching you since your wedding videos. Never expected you to come to Malaysia. Enjoy your stay and try visiting the peninsular's east islands. It's considered a gem for many tourists all over the world. Also the Borneo island in September to eat a fruit called "Tarap".

Islam in India Pakistan Bangladesh has a caste system, Ashraf Ajlafs Arzals, etc. Actually, the Bangladeshi Pakistani Indian version of Islam, a combination of Hinduism and Islam, is very different from other Islam, which is why we Indonesians consider Bangladeshi Pakistani Indians to be a group of people who are haram to touch.

@@cricketarena4926 Stop denying, the South Asian version of Islam like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh is a combination of two religions, namely Islam and Hinduism, Islam is a caste that is very different from any other Islam, the South Asian version of Islam also has tafsir of the Koran and Hadith that are very different from any other country, the Asian version of Islam music is haram, it is haram for women to leave the house, it is haram for women to show their faces, women can only show their eyes, the high level of illiteracy and uneducated people in South Asia cause people to tafsir the Hadith and Koran in South Asia very strangely

The red seeds are called saga seeds. When we were children, we will pick lots of them, and sew the seeds in a square shaped cloth (like super mini pillows) and play five stones.

Malaysia is often recognized as one of the leading countries in terms of the development and promotion of halal food standards and practices maybe even more so than some countries in the Arab region. So when you see the sign in Malaysia, you don't have to worry

We call this tree 'pokok saga' (adenanthera). I used to pick the red seeds with my sister when I was a child. We would collect and see who got the most seeds. Fun memories 😃

All fast food chains here are halal.. but we in the midst of boycotting them. But if you wanna try as your first time there's no harm to do so.. think of it as an experience just to know what it tasted like. The non halal version in other country is not much difference in taste
