Bruno is in his 11th year. He is 68kg and his breed is pure Dogo Argentino. This was meant to be his final adventure but he built his strength up so much pulling the cart each day leading up to this trip and on it that we just might do one more adventure in the future with him. On this mission, we make our way up the Motueka Vally where we fish for trout and hunt hare, forage for wild mushrooms, and watercress to eat. The only food I took for myself was salt & lard and for Bruno 3 rolls of posyum. I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as we enjoyed making it. Clay 😊

Just pondering on thoughts and recognising how dogs keep us grounded. They come into this world & seek nothing but companionship & survival. Uncomplicated with things of the world they look to their master to follow & love no matter how short we fall. I love the way you shared the companionship to the end with ur dog Clay. Aw mate this brough a tear to my eye. Just lost my old girl at 15 and jsut like Bruno she was an absolute machine, up the hills wiht me until 2 days before she passed. Had to do a heap of graft still getting her up there, lifting her through the hard parts, but more than worth it for the look of appreciation on their faces. We dont deserve the bastards!

This is because dog roll is not natural and dogs have been know to chock to death on it. Small animals on the other hand is a natural food source of which they know exactly how to process with no problems.

So cool Clay,just lost my kelpie blue heeler to cancer of back leg,she was almost 10yro ,we went fishing and cruising round bush for 4 weeks like the ol days ,she loved it so much seemed like a pup again but she couldn’t sleep at night even with pain meds ,she now laid to rest next to my Ned Kelly statue out here in the Goldfields WA 👍

absolutely brilliant mate, well worth the 6 months wait to watch. you killed me when you said you loved him🥲 feck.me someone was chopping onions in my house at that point. hes a beautiful dog, and you could see he loved all that attention. definately time to take Po out for a solo trip, maybe for a small suckler up in the hills and BBQ it up.

I'm so glad I read the description. I thought old Bruno had died and was too apprehensive to watch this. I know Bruno means as much to you as my old mate Jack means to me, so you can understand I was worried. And you know what? Old jacks back legs are slowly going on him. I have to lift him in and out of my old bus nowadays, but I'd happily tow him around in a cart.

That was absolutely beautiful mate. I just want to let you know you help me I have been on side of the bridge couple times ready to jump and you talking about reaching out to get help was help. Nothing like a dog, my dog died in my arms. There's nothing on earth like a dog. It was a beautiful tribute to your dog Bruno. I've watched you from the start and all your trials and tribulations. This was truly awesome! I wish I could’ve done something like this with my last dog. I think I’ve recently found a place here where I can venture off and enjoy nature, fishing and the solitude, time will tell but looking good so far. Thanks clay!

Due to the fact that Bruno increased his stamina & strength through pulling the cart and all the training leading up to it I am now thinking this will not be his last mission so we are already planning another one but this time it will be twice as long.
