Now I see how Usyk prepared himself for Joshua. Chisora actually connected more than Joshua but Usyk eventually wore him down giving him different angles as a southpaw and always moving.The bigger heavyweights tend to lose their steam by the 5th round. Excellent game plan.

Man, what a fighter! Chisora looked to be 50 lbs heavier, and he was throwing devastatingly powerful punches. Usyk's ability to avoid most of them is just out worldly. And those few that lander he took like a man with a purpose. Excellent compilation, thanks for sharing.

I really get the sense that Usyk treated this as sparring - wanted to get rounds, wanted to take some shots and test the strength of a big heavyweight. I would say that Chisora was in the fight only as much as Usyk allowed him to be. Usyk never got out of second gear

Exactly. Beacause Chisora intended to fight and wrestle Usyk, not to box him, which would be stupid. Because you cannot over box him, you can wrestle and ram him but not to over box in skills

They didn’t show some of Usyk’s best shots. I remember watching live and Usyk landed a really good combo where he circled around Chisora and kept nailing him with 3 straight lefts in a row. He was timing him with that all night.

In this fight Usyk was after recovering from c19 so was not strong, but I believe Wilder would beat Usyk. AJ lost his confidence since his first defeat with Mexican/American boxer

nah Breidis actually came close to beating him, this looks closer than it actually was. Chisora landed very few scoring punches after round 3, so his aggression was ineffective.

I'm stunned by the comments and the 2 judges who scored this a close fight. Usyk showed what a good sound techniquel fighter he is. DC did what he does, swings big and eats a ton of punches. Why is Fury afraid to fight Usyk? This fight is why.

This was a close fight, usyk was running like a girl, there’s many different aspects when scoring a fight like defence and ring generalship and usyk never showed that but ran, I suggest you watch the whole fight, and no one is scared of usyk, if you never noticed the difference between usyk and fury then I’ll point it out, Fury didn’t need to run but used his boxing skill and ability to stop chisora from coming forward, Usyk wasn’t able to do that and ran

Chisora looked like an amateur in there, all awkward and uncoordinated. Wild punches and heymakers. You could see his punches losing steam by round 5 because of all the wild energy he had already used...really poor showing for a professional fighter. I don't know why his corner didn't tell him to calm down.

There was a lot of close misses or unclean/reaching punches by Chisora here which look like effective punches to the casual eye. That's why a lot of (mostly biased) people say this was a close fight. It rly wasn't all that close. Chisora virtually hitting only air or reaching shots after the 5th, Usyk keeps landing clean consistently.

This fight was made to seem closer by the travesty that was the tony bellew led punditry, my God he had chisora winning this fight at the end. Usyk hit him at least 2000 times to the head with derrick just plodding forward like a walking practise bag, usyk could have finished him in 4 separate occasions if he had stepped on the gas

You can see Usyk took notes from this fight to prepare himself going forward. Against AJ he didn't take the back foot as much, when you're constantly hitting and retreating it encourages your opponent to keep coming forward so he switched to throwing harder counter shots to make AJ 2nd guess chasing him down

usyk is beatable just the bigger guys will struggle to catch him because their strength will be exhausted after round 8. Smart and powerful good boxer will KO usyk within round 5. Chisora performed bettter thsn AJ in their fight with Usyk. The guy is still counting his scores against Britain heavyweight champions. Speed and footwork right there. It's so disappointing that Fury is ducking him. Fury would be the big favourite, but he's obviously not interested in being the first undisputed HW champion in over a generation.
