I love Oliebollen! Mijn opa was Nederlands en hij maakte deze voor mijn zussen en ik wanneer wij bezochten. I never used to like the raisins as a kid, but now I love them! Now I make them for my family. And I agree, Apple I delicious in them! Dank je voor dit recept! En sorry voor mijn Nederlands, ik leer.

Last year I went to the Netherlands and spend kingday with one of my dutch friends there, We bought somme Oliebollen from a stall at the kingsday market we went to and they were amazing, glad I found a recipe online for them. Love from the UK :)

Oliebullen is one of my favourite treats to make for the new years, we usually buy the packages of it but this year I'll probably make them from scratch thanks to your video!

Made this today for the first time! I had a recipe from allrecipes.com and I bought everything but wanted to watch a video for guidance and found this one. I used apples, raisins, and added the cinnamon per your suggestion. Both my recipe nor yours said the amount to use on the cinnamon but I say I used 1/2 cup. I used skim milk and also added water per my recipe. Definitely want to heat up that oil before dropping the first balls. Let me just say this is probably the most delicious treat I've made. They are so tasty! Excited to share this with my coworkers tomorrow. Happy New Year! Your video made my paper recipe much easier to follow.

Here in Italy, we eat them on Carnival, we called them "frittelle di carnevale". In pastry shops you can find them filled with custard, eggnog (my favorite one), Chantilly cream or Nutella. I can't wait for Carnival, my mum and my grandma cook hundreds of frittelle 😍

I can't eat dairy, can I use soy milk instead of buttermilk?
@Loepsie
@Loepsie 9 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid that wouldn't work, buttermilk has a completely different texture and taste than soy milk... But I'm not sure. Perhaps you could give it a try in a smaller batch?

You can make non-dairy buttermilk by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to your soy milk :)

You could also replace the buttermilk with a mixture of natural, non-sweetened soygurt and non-sweetened soy milk, so you get the thick texture that buttermilk has and some sourness :)
