I like the floodiness of this light, and I like the pocket clip.

That's good you can disable the proximity sensor. Nice beamshots man. That gimbal really make a difference.

Thank you! I've decided to leave the proximity sensor on because I almost burnt a hole in my jacket with a headlamp that doesn't have such a safety feature (I accidentally knocked the button while driving and noticed my jacket smoking). 🥵

Olight had a winner with the Max but went too floody on the beam, even for an EDC.

Thats a fair opinion but I'd respectfully disagree. I have the Warrior Mini 3. Thats also a pocket sized torch and has a narrower beam and a good bit more throwing distance than the Max. The Max is specifically if you *want* a wide flood, it's a different option to the Warrior 3. I got one for that reason.
