I’ve never heard of the Baton 3 case being able to be used as a portable charger for external devices. I’m pretty sure only the Baton 4 case can make that claim.

Because it would be smart to charge external devices on a case not rated for the job. But you could do it if you didn’t care to damage your battery

@@allemander would not sorry also that applies to the baton 3 case. I assume baton 4 case is rated to charge smartphones and such. You could theoretically charge them with the baton 3 case but it is not rated and could damage a battery.

It doesn’t. I just plugged the baton 3 case to my iPhone. No charge.

I have been tempted to get a baton 3 a few times but I ended up getting a perun 2 mini and now I got the baton 4 and the case can charge both. I also picked up the Arkfeild pro. The Arkfeild pro is my EDC and with the head strap, I will use both the perun 2 mini and baton 4 for working on plumbing or for any other work I do that I need hands free lighting.

On high baton 3 on is 300, baton 4 is 600, the difference is clear in the video! Both claim 0.5 lm moonlight, but they made the moonlight on the baton 4 about half as bright as the baton 3, I think that's how they can claim the wapping 30 days runtime from the previous 20 days!

This year ive got a premium and a simple Baton3 red. Gave my brother the simple and 1 spare batterie (bought 4 spares). I thought ill like the Baton3 but i found them too small to be comfortable. Later i bought a 21700 Baton3ProMax warm white and its way better to hold in hand. I think a premium Baton3 or 4 would be a great car light due to the extended runtime with the case. But to carry that case with me and to extract/reinsert the light every time i use it? No way.

Did you ever have the light turn on in your pocket when you are carrying it? I ask because that was one issue I was having with my Fenix E18R v 2.0. even if I locked it.

Nah I haven’t had any issues turning on in my pocket with the baton 3 or 4 and olight has a great locking system so should be fine. But Also I use the pocket clip I don’t have mine bouncing around at the bottom of my pocket :)

Why would you buy a light with a charging case, when you get a bigger light with more lumens, and candela and it would still be a smaller package?

When I think of the baton 4 case I don’t think that I’m gunna have it so much in my pocket as a bag and would go great if I’m away from home and wanna be able to change on the go or even able to work when powers out stuff like that. Sometimes having more lumens is great if you need it but higher lumens burns battery quicker which is fine if your using it a lot and can wait to let it charge but the baton 4 is a great daily carry on its own and a great pair with the case but not needed if you don’t think it would be a good option. Maybe just the light instead for less. I hope that helped

Excellent video despite the audio issue. I have the 3 and just picked up the 4 candy cane style and I must say it is an impressive little light. I am waiting for a case to become available for the 4 from O-light website thank you for the comparison video 👍
