Not many people Paul Rudd parents are British, so is Jason Bateman, Mike Meyers, Jim Carey and Thomas Middleditch. There is most be something about being North American and having British roots and being a good comedic actor.

Aha! Them two being such great and longtime friends explains why Paul Rudd's practically beaming behind Olivia, when her name was announced at the Oscars. And also him laughing when she mentions Ed in her speech. Since Paul knows them both.
