Oljaytu Sanctuary Atigh Mosque constitutes an architectural treasury of various Iranian historical eras from Deilamian to Safavi. It has 9 altars the most famous of which is located on the northern side of the west porch built during the reign of an ILKHAN ruler called Soltan Mohammad Khodabandeh (Oljayto) at the request of his Iranian minister named Mohammad Savi. This sanctuary was constructed by the great Iranian expert called Heydar Esfahani in 1310 depicting an exquisite art of plasterwork of flowers and geometrical shapes. Its embossed and elaborate patterns have created a live and majestic look. This great artistic work includes seven different Iranian calligraphies. On opposite sides of this Sanctuary, there are two wooden stands used for preaching one of which dating back to seven hundred years ago has a magnificent fretwork portraying the entire Oljayto sanctuary. The other one dates back to the Safavi era.
