Spearfishing Marlin New Zealand - Finally successful!
After a few years of trying, I finally managed to spear my first Striped Marlin here in New Zealand. No better place to do it than in my own backyard off the coast of where I grew up.
One of the most memorable days of my life and I'm so glad to have captured it on film to share with everyone!

That was the greatest video of all time I… know I’ve said that before, but this really was. The one we Taku almost got eaten by sharks was pretty cool too . Because he didn’t get it by sharks, and it was a redemption video…

The marlin hunt was an exciting watch even amongst all the lines of chaos 🤣 i also liked the photo of you laying next to it for size comparison! 😂 That was most definitely a catch to remember aye mate! What an incredible Fish, that sucker weighed 210.32 lbs.!!! I would have loved to be able to try smoked and cured Striped Marlin. never had the fish before. Definitely a bucket list item to spearfish and have to eat!
