I was searching how to sew beads on dresses and in the tutorials I saw, they were using a needle which is a slow process and I was like nahhh, but then when I discovered your channel, I watched from lesson 1 to all your other videos and bought the necessary tools, now Im practicing, Im at beginner level though. Thank you so much! Thats really lovely to hear🥰 Tambour can be a little difficult in the beginning but its very rewarding and helpful embroidery skill once you have learnt it. Just keep practicing regularly and soon things will come naturally to you and youll get much quicker and better at it . Wish you all the best with it💕

I just finished watching your tutorial videos. Thank you! Also, is it possible to embroider on an already made dress, or do you need to disentangle it first?

Yes you can embroider onto an already made dress if you can frame up the section you want to embroider. Or you can embroider onto a separate fabric and then cut it out and hand sew it onto your dress.

Great tutorial! I currently sew beads by hand and it’s very slow so I’m new to tambour. Some of the beads I use are pretty tiny and the needles that came with my tambour set are thinker than what I currently use. Are there thinner, longer tambour needles and where can I buy them? So far I’ve looked on Amazon and general searches on Google but no luck.

Thank you!! Size 70 hook is the smallest you can get for tambour. For smaller beads that cant fit your hook you should stitch the beads from the bottom with you tambour. if you watch lesson 2 of the series it will explain. Try looking on Etsy if you have no luck on Amazon, i have links on my Instagram.

Thank you!! Yes you can do tambour embroidery on any fabric. Best to do it before you sew your garment together

Organza fabric, but you can use any fabric for tambour embroidery
