Beautiful! I am making something similar but I am unsure what to frame it in when I gift it, do you have any ideas? :)
@OlsjonaEmbroidery2 күн бұрын
Unfortunately i wasn’t able to film my self framing it, sorry. what i did was first place the embroidery onto a thin foam board, pin📌 the fabric all around the foam board edge, so its nice and taught. Then just simply place it into a regular picture frame 🖼️. Hopefully will do a video tutorial the next time i frame up an embroidery.

I’ve been following your instructions, but have run into a problem that I hope you can help solve. Im quite proficient at the chain stitch now, but as I stitch, the main thread keeps amassing twist until it begins winding up on itself and knotting. This twist can travel up to my working side so the loop twists and I can’t pull the next loop through. I’m not sure how it’s happening so haven’t been able to resolve this, short of dangling my spool to let it unwind. Please advise me, I’d love to move onto adding beads but feel it would be a mess if I try before solving this.

Its hard to say exactly without me seeing what you’re doing, but here are some tips. When wrapping the thread around the hook it can be clockwise or anticlockwise depending on the direction you’re going. When you wrap your thread around your hook and bring up it up through the fabric, see if your thread is twisted or not. If its twisted and isn’t a nice loop, then it means you should have wrapped your thread the other way. And remember to only wrap once around the hook. Also try keeping your spool of thread in a good position, so that the thread doesn’t get twisted. I sometimes place it on my lap or i use a spool holder, its quite helpful. Hope that was helpful, let me know if it works out💕

Its a thin thread so you can use a small needle size. Around size 10 needle size. For the tambour hook i use a size 70 hook.

Hi! Thanks for all the amazing videos. I wonder if it could be done in other fabrics like cotton (for clothing)?
@OlsjonaEmbroidery6 күн бұрын
Thank you! Yes it can be done on any fabric. This technique is what they use in luxury fashion and interiors. Non stretchy fabrics are best, so cottons are perfect💕

Why does it leave such big holes though? :( It doesn't look as neat as it would've if an embroidery needle was used.
@youarebymyside12 күн бұрын
But that's just cross stitch. It's just a particular pattern.
@youarebymyside12 күн бұрын
So it's basically harder knitting/crochet on a piece of fabric. Hmm. That's interesting, thank you!

Me to myself while watching this: You don't need another trxite hobby. You will abandon it. DON'T do it. So pretty though.
