I say this team was arguably the most well choreographed Romanian team of the new millenium.

dupa zeci de medalii castigate,nu mai e nici un dubiu ca romancele sunt fantastice. Insa, e adevarat ca se simte absenta celui mai bun antrenor din lume...Octavian Belu. S-a retras in glorie, era de asteptat...el nu prea pierde niciodata. Personal ii multumesc, lui si intregii gimnastice romanesti pt mandria ce ne-a adus-o in suflete !

Lamentablemente a Rumania no le ha ido para nada bien siendo potencia en la gimnasia artística a causa del nuevo código que favorece a USA . Sin embargo estos vídeos son un tesoro quien no se emociono con el equipo olímpico en Sydney 2000 con la campeona original Andreea Raducan,Simona Amanar, María Olaru etc y en Atenas 2004 el mejor equipo consolidado por la multicampeona Catalina Ponor, Mónica Rossu, Daniela Sofronie, Oana Ban etc y en Beijing 2008 la fascinante Sandra Izbasa, Steliana Nistor, Gabriela Dragoi, etc todas ellas en su momento fueron las mejores! Me gustaría ver la bandera rumana en lo alto del podio🙏💖 otra vez

@TwisterFlipp95 Yes, she badly sprained her ankle after her third pass, the massively high double Arabian, and said at the time "the pain was killing me, but I had to finish the routine", and it did indeed keep her out of the AA and EF:( You are right, looking at her you would never know she was in agony:( Thats why on her last pass she landed uncharacteristically deep on the double pike. Incredible routine though:)

@iheartcheese111 Yes, she hurt her ankle badly on her third pass, her through-the-roof double Arabian, and she said in an interview "I knew I had to finish the routine, but my ankle was killing me", poor girl:( And it did indeed, keep her out of the rest of the Olympics, sadly. What an incredible routine though; one of my favourites, for sure:)

The 2012 team are already looking to be champions and we shall see at the worlds next year what they are capable of. They have several girls back from injury such as the amazing Ana Porgras. They will have junior Amelia Racea who will be able to compete at worlds next year as well as veterans Isbaza. Gabriela Dragoi and Anamaria Tamarjan should have some more experience in them as well to lead them to Gold medals. They look like gold on BB and FX and improved on VT and UB.

Look at these ladies compared to today's gymnast. Today, we have a bunch of short, thick tanks who just jump around. No grace, no style, no posture, nothing. Gymnastics today sucks. Just a series of boring, neck breaking elements. That over there was, indeed, the golden age.

This competition was the pinnacle of Romanian gymnastics which unfortunately was tarnished by Olympic Comiittee’s decision to strip Andrea Raducan an of the all around Gold medal for taking a cold pill

After years of domination, Romanian gymnastics is in collapse. Twice in a row we not qualify at the Olympic Games ☹️☹️☹️

Ponor is overscored. I think her routine should not be more than 9.65
