Runners focus strictly in stamina. These guys need muscle power

@@paulosouza449 they dont need power, the need complete control over all their relevant muscle groups. So the definition comes from cardio and good eating, plus flexibility training, a lot of static exercises. Too much muscle hurts the things they excel at.

The Chinese are as flexible as bamboo and as light as the feather and they have qigong and wing chun kung fu that makes no splash on the water.

This is so weird, I literally went to the same school as jack laugher, Ripon grammar school. All I can think seeing him on the pedestals with the silver medal, is of the time when I bumped into him coming down some steps, and him saying sorry mate.

Some claim Asian smaller frames as an advantage, it's only true to a certain extent. There are many lightweight Europeans too, even if not as many. The more important thing is culture, where elegance and economy in movement are emphasized. In East Asian cultures, such as the kung fu, the one that exerts the most strength but done so in the quietest manner and with the least movement is treasured. Whereas in Western culture, well... Braveheart.
