When I grew up these are known as earth movers. My grandfather was ran over by a 10 ton one and lived. Lucky the soil was soft. Lost most of his intestine from it but recovered and lived a normal life. Still operating heavy equipment 60+ hours a week till his death at 76(car crash)

Takes time for the dozer man to track across the site. Not to mention he has a pile of other tasks at hand, the scrapers can handle that little bit of a job quickly as they did in this video.
