I have had the original E-M1 since 2013 and its battery grip since 2016, and have only just realised what the little slot for the battery grip contact cover was for. I had been storing it in my camera bag all these years!

After having handled the new OM-1 can you say that the control dials (front and rear) are as well made as those of the EM1X? If you have used or own one you know exactly what I mean. The detents are dampened and truly feel like a flagship camera should. Or are they the same as the EM1 MK III? I ask because if OM systems is now claiming the OM-1 is their flagship then build quality should reflect that.

Is any means of charging included or flash. Does it need a charging block.

There is no external battery charger. Charge is by USB type A (standard pc port) cable. A battery charger may be introduced later or by 3rd party providers. No idea about flash.
