Yes, the auger from the 8004 will fit directly in the 8003.

Yes, it is true I favor the Omega juicers. I have reasons for most things I do.. I find their machines work really well, are easy to clean, have long warranties, and that is what I personally use in my home. That being said, I will get out my samson and do some juice offs with it and the Omega... when I get the time..

It depends on what you want to juice. If your juicing ONLY wheatgrass, then I recommend the Samson machines. Please check my other videos where I compare a samson to the Omega to see the results. I have added it to my "to do" list to make some more videos comparing the samson to the Omega.

Based on my research, the melamine that was added to foods was an uncured melamine. The melamine used in the 8003 and 8005 are cured melamine, which is FDA approved. That being said, if this concerns you, purchase the 8004 or 8006, which are the models I recommend anyway due to the longer warranty and harder auger.

hey john i bought the 8006. with the juicing screen you know how there's little blades right before the tip where the actual screen is, well there's this residue i cant get off. i tried scrubbing and soaking in soap and its building up to the point that the blades are not as deep and my pulp is a little wet than when i first started juicing. any other types of soaps or veggie washes i should use? thanks so much!

Hi, Im a bit concerned about the melamine in the auger? which machine do you recommend that doesnt contain that in the plastic?

I personally like the samson for homogenizing for the welles. its easy to clean, and has the added benefit of the adjustable nozzle that will ensure the fibers are broken down. Of course you could also use a champion, which would be much quicker, and also easy to clean. Each unit has their pros and cons.. the Omega would also work, but I prefer the samson due to the design.

Hey John! Thanks for the great videos, I had a quick question. Which juicer would you recommend to homogenize produce for the welles press? I was leaning toward the champion or the samson, would the omega homogenize well also? The most important thing for me would be ease of cleaning mainly. I had tried the GSE-5000 and found that the cleaning was just too much of a hassle and my pulp was a bit too wet! Thanks for all the vids and keep em coming!

Do you think that the Omega 8004 is a good juicer for a person in a juice fast? Because I've heard that it produced a lot of pulp with its juices compared to a Breville JE98XL which was more purely juice. What are your thoughts?

I used to enjoy Johns reviews/comparisons of different juicers, but lately it seems that John is (really) an Omega rep. I believe that the Samson brand juicer will produce more juice from greens (including wheatgrass) than any of the Omega juicers. I'd like to see that comparison. How about it, John?

Correct. Unstrained, the juice out of the 8004 is more pulpy. The breville makes a more pulp free juice and is MUCH faster. Which juicer is best? it depends on your needs. I wonder if there is possibility from you to make a video, where you juice an onion. Not kidding, for me it would be interesting as i am fan of onions :). I also heard that onions are quite healthy "root" vegetable. What do you think ??

I recomend soaking in hot water and oxyclean overnight and then brushing with a nylon bristle brush.. that should get it clean.

I haven't. In my opinion, some produce is not ment to be juiced. The general rule is, if you can eat it raw, you can juice it. If you should cook it before eating, than its probably not a good idea to juice it. Im sure eggplant can be juiced.. the question is, would it taste good, and is it good for you? Another thing I rarely (if ever) juice are potatoes.
