This definitely was a fun episode. It did feel quite focused on green for a tricolor deck, but part of that may just be from the large number of wolves and elves in green overshadowing any red or white elves. Still, always nice to see some wolves! ~ConnieOfTheWolves

Adding enchantments in red that give haste and leaning a lot more into elves makes this deck scary fast

Oh I need this card and I'm going to alter it with the art of an old comic, Elf Quest. It is peeeerfect for that theme since they are elves that lives with wolves.

Two words for voja: wolverine riders. Its a tendershoot dryad effect that makes elves instead of saprolings and gains your life when any elf etbs.

@@irtnyc why nykthos paragon for voja? It doesnt make sense to me since there was basically nothing in the deck to gain life. Also, embiggen was worded specifically so that it wouldn’t buff changelings to the moon. “Target non-brushwag creature” was put in there as a creature type that changelings do have but that no one would be upset about being excluded from the list of legal targets.

I have two suggestions: first, anzrag would be a great fit for this deck because each additional combat phase is more of voja's attack triggers, second, you could put All Will be One in this deck for a bunch of damage if you have those elves out.

Its a bit expensive at about 4,50 but hollowhenge overlord would be a usable piece for this deck. Arlin Kord would be good if you can flip her and then Ult, creatures can tap for damage and with deathtouch wipe out the enemies lines.

Finally getting around to building this deck. I know your thoughts on Shalai and Hallar as a commander. But it's a brilliant finisher for this deck. All you need is 7 elves on the board, which would include itself (being that it has Angel and Elf as creature types) then swing with Voja to deal lethal damage to someone.

I dont like that voja is a prerelease pack exclusively, same with the clue eddition commander. Just seemes like a poor decision that encurages proxies.

@TheKensta88 yes this set had cards exclusive to prerelease kits (that you can't use) and in the clue edditions(one of the best red white commanders is locked in that)

I had a question about commander for voja it says when he attacks to put the +1+1’s on each creature I control does that mean if I have say 2 elves he hits you for five and then after it adds the +1+1’s or seven?

with access to red, you do want to have enchantments that gives haste to allow Voja to enter combat as soon as possible. One swing and possibly they dont have any more answers against Voja anymore.

Rhythm of the wild gives creatures riot which means they can enter with +1+1 or haste. @iamdaniellejeanene

I can't believe there's not specifically an elf wolf creature. Druids can even transform into different creatures in the wild. We have an elk turtle, but no elf druid wolf 🤣 I think taking this deck in an infect direction is going to be strongest.

Much as i like it i don’t want to just throw my elf commander deck into my tolsimir deck. I’ll probably just add a few red wolf cards and just leave my wolf deck as is and get some added benefit from the elf cards that deal with wolves instead of throwing in all the elf token makers. If anything i’d be more tempted to just throw in a boatload of werewolf cards since it’ll have access to red now

Just as a heads up, im pretty sure that voja wouldn’t see your werewolf creatures, since that’s technically another separate subtype. For that exact reason, thats why cards say wolf or werewolf creature on them when they buff them up or something.

I just built a non-budget version of this. Can't wait for the cards to come in (and for the commander to be released). At first I thought the deck was too linear (and it is) but after some goldfishing I think I'm okay with that. Who doesn't love huge dumb creatures, a ton of mana, and a hand FULL of cards?

This and the boros soldier commander are both being proxied. Just cannot justify how much it will take to get them. Especially when there are only 5 or 6 cards in the whole set that I actually want. Will probably end up with two of the commander pre cons, but beyond that… just not worth the chase for this one.

Lol turn 1 red/ green land into 1 mana dork- turn 2 jeweled lotus , 1 drop elf, voja, turn 3 land, mirror entity, everythings a 2/2 attack and draw 4 put 4 +1/+1 counters on everything... this Commander is DEGENERATE!

Heads Up This is not a 6 unless you are not playing ramp, changelings, or elves just heads up to people even willing to allow this in a precon environment. Personally I dont wanna see this thing in any lower than a 7.5 lobby

i really like this commander but i wonder why they went with "jaws of the conclave" instead of "fangs of the conclave". since wolves primarily use their fangs to go for the throat. other than that he is the bestest boi
