Gringa! So hearing you state your mean little heart melting, I had this mental picture of you in a furry green sweater, and you had changed you name to Watch.Grincha!!!! Agree with you on the date wheel color having to match, and on the color being an oceanic ice blue. Would not consider it a summer blue. Keep up the great videos and have a great day. The 38mm AT has indices made from white gold, I think that's why they are a touch more expensive

Great video Gringa. “Always see the watch in person!” Bought mine on sight. Purchased the Aqua Terra 38 when they first came out! Couldn’t be happier! This watch receives more complements and looks than any other in my collection (which includes PP, Rolex, JLC and others). It’s the perfect do anything summer watch. Beach to boardroom. Love the caseback! I also have an open caseback 300 vintage. So I can see the comparison.

In the aqua terra shades models, the smaller watch is more expensive because the hands, indecies, logo, and date window are 18k white gold. On the larger model they are rhodium plated steel. I would imagine this new range is the same.

nah. the sam AT in smaller size is also more expensive. Nothing to do with the gold elements. Gold parts would make the watch double price not a few hundred more. Check out the regular AT blue in 38 and 41. smaller is always little more expensive because people dont buy big watches anymore. 38mm is a much better standard size. I am a man with a normal wrist and i bought the 38mm as well. would never touch 41 unless is a diver or other purpose watch.

I understand the commend about wanting “more” for an anniversary edition, but I think they’ve done plenty to make these anniversary versions distinct. In 1998, they did the 50th Anniversary Seamaster GMT 2534.50.00, which added the GMT complication and bezel, but didn’t look all that different from the regular black SMP. I think this series goes way further in terms of making them visually distinct.

I really wish Omega would have included a version of the Seamaster CK859 re-issue too. It already had heat blued hands. Maybe just changing the dial from silver to an almost white powder blue and a matching strap.

I quite agree, I felt like the diver 300 looked a bit average, but in person it's fantastic, I prefer it over the standard one and hopefully will be picking one up in a few weeks

A couple of months ago I was choosing between Summer Blue 41mm Aquaterra and 41mm Small Seconds Aquaterra in blue on rubber. And finally got the last one. Its blue is a step to grey compare to Summer Blue, seconds sub-dial makes the appearance brighter. I like that more. But Seamaster 300 (not 300M!) Summer Blue is a killer.

A tool watch featuring a closed caseback= no problem. It’s proper. I’ve got a couple watches with exceptional looking movements and even those, I rarely look at past the first two weeks if that. One is on a bracelet which makes it a little more difficult to see anyway. I wouldn’t begrudge someone for wanting a display back, but in truth there’s lots of watches with a movement on display and nothing to see. A well done engraved or molded caseback can be a very cool thing.

Thanks for not begruding. My toolwatch is a Garmin Fenix 6 and I have a couple of G-Shocks as backups. Nothing mechanical can beat those watches, so if I'm spending thousands of dollars on jewelry, I want to see the movement (I'll give Seikos a pass since they're mostly affordable, but the Seiko LX line is complete BS.) For this reason, my fantasy watch is a Santos Dumont with a nicely finished movement on display; that dial is timelessly elegant yet handsome and the only thing holding it back from perfection is a display back. For the money, Omega movements are actually really good looking too, so they don't need to be embarrassed about it.

The 38mm Aqua Terra is more expensive because its from the Aqua Terra Shades line. And I agree. In person they are beautiful. I own the 300m in green and have a hard time deciding which looks better.

Someone had told me that the smaller aqua terra was more expensive because they use gold (or some kind of precious metal) on the hour markers and the larger aqua terra doesn’t. Not too sure if this is true.

"When i saw the Summer Blues in the store it changed my mind about these." Same here. Until i saw them in the Omega Store, i thought they were kinda cool but they're not. Unfortunately they lack any vibe in real life while looking dang cool on pictures. The Ultra Deep is still a cool watch because of the Easter Egg on the dial but the over all impression was like "O.k., i've seen them. Let's go home."

Edwin is HERE! 💕🎉 ahhh! It might be time to pull the trigger on the Diver 300! 😈💕 but I totallly get it - I am exactly the same. I’ve been sooo close to pulling the trigger on a Seamaster (neovintage 36 for me!) but I just haven’t brought myself to actually buy one yet. ONE DAY! You know! I should have spoke to the bracelet and straps. So… as we know… I’m not the biggest fan of the SMP bracelet 😅🙈 BUUUUT I 💕 the strap! As for the Aqua Terra - bracelet all the way. The bracelet is so nice! 😍

So I’ve just gotten the summer blue 300 diver on bracelet, but tbh it’s going on a blue diver strap, this watch is absolutely stunningly gorgeous, somnow my wife has taken to wearing my smp300 white dial, but that’s okay I can live with that. Love your content Brittney. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The date wheel not matching the dial is a pet peeve. Why does my $400 Zelos have that but not my friend's $11k Submariner? It just makes the watch look so much cleaner

I have the 300M summer blue. Colour was made to reflect the ocean off Mykonos in Greece. Hence the indices look swimming pool blue, not cold

While im an omega fan, and i do find this watches pretty good looking, i was expacting more, specially for the smp. And im not sayiing huge changes, but specially for the smp, i would like to see the 8900 movement in it and an upgrated bracelet. A few more things there and there to make uldate the watches mechanucally as well and make them.a bit more oremium, so the can nustify the HUGE pricetag.

I think the 38mm AT is more expensive simply because it's a newer and maybe more popular design. Omega asks more money for it because... they can.

Got my NTTD from Berry's, great staff. Glad you had a nice time up here. I've tried on the summer blue 300M and it's lovely but it doesn't have the contrast I'd like to be able to quickly check the time in bad lighting or when I'm diving. I'd prefer to get the green instead.

Omega stepped their game up, it was sinking before the co-axial/8500/8800/8900 and of course the ceramic bezel inserts (those 2500 and aluminum insert were mildly horrible) however the current prices are way too high.

I know you're not a big fan, but I love the 300m Heritage. It's such a great alternative to a no-date sub, technically better in almost every way and available! Would have loved to see that included.

Interesting because this video sort of “woke me up” to the 300 Heritage. I’ve always been lukewarm on it kept thinking this color way might work as a good companion to my black dial 300m Diver. Also, since the AT 41mm is already somewhat of a thick watch, might as well get the 300 Heritage and not have to deal with the date complication. Also, good point about it being a Sub alternative.

@@eyeheartsushi2212 The post 2021 Heritage is thinner than the previous model at 13.9mm, but that measurement includes the domed crystal so it feels thinner. With the fantastic 8912 movement, crystal back and fully lumed bezel, it makes a very compelling alternative to the no-date sub.

The Christopher Ward C60 Tide is very similar to the Seamaster but looks far superior in my opinion and at £1k is much more affordable.

Just in time for erm, winter. Well done Omega. They've continued the shambles that was the Aqua Terra colour dials (over a year to reach stores). On saying that, the AT41 and Worldtimer are the picks for me. Oh and a Diver 300M on rubber with the OEM mesh bracelet.

@@VibrantMangoFair point. However, the collection launched in Europe months ago, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect some watches to be available in the summer. The Omega homepage on northern hemisphere territories has already moved on, with the ‘Winter Tales’ campaign on 2 of the 4 main tiles. This is a UK based channel too.
